Plus, the scout armor is just REALLY cool...

old system: Comp > Bone > Chiten
new assault=scout=battle, they all have their weaknesses and strengths so they're almost equals.
I know how it goes, just comparing it with the armor we use today compared to categories of the future....thanks for describing it though.

You miss understand, Bone armor, chiten and Composit armor is being reworked to.
I am assuming that Bone will be scout, Chiten will be battle and Comp will be assult.
Heavy will probly have more of the +300s to specific damage types than scout and assualt. Kinda like how comp is effective against more things. However the lower level armor will probly have near equal protection stats.
Example -
Scout Armorand Bone Armor
General protection -4000
Kenetic - 300
Energy - 300
Stun - 300
HAM - 100
Battle Armorand Chitten
General Protection - 5000
Cold - 300
Heat - 300
Acid - 300
Kenetic - 300
Electric - 300
HAM - 200
Assault Armorand Composit
General Protection - 6000
Cold - 300
Heat - 300
Acid - 300
Stun - 300
Kenetic - 300
Energy - 300
HAM - 300
Or something like that

But, reguardless of the General and type specific resistances.
Scout > Assult Armor versus Focused Beam so alot of these values don't matter if you have the wrong suit on. Or is someone can flip a weapon from one mode to the mode your armor is weak against in say X number of seconds, while you have to remove and swap a whole set of armor to stay on top of weapons as they change or as you move through opponents in a large combat.

That is the point. Yes, you will due poorly against sertian opponents. No, you will no longer be an Omega Killing macine. Yes, you will have to group with people of differnt armor types and differnt weapon types in order to do good in PvP and PvE. Also not all weapons are dynamicaly switchable, this leads me to belive that each proffesion will specilise in specific mode. And with each profession spcilizing in differint modes, they probly also specify in specific armor to.
