Thread: Friday Feature: Part 2 August 19th Astromech Stats: Profession Popularity
Bleed is a joke.
Advanced lunge is in our master box but is pointless.
Scatter hit is a PvP only move that serves no real purpose yet since there is only cybernetic arms.
Think we could get working on some of these issues the numbers DO NOT LIE!
/dodge +infinity
/cover and crawl away
If this is least ---> to most;
Smugglers have alot of players. Its a shame Jedi take up so much time with the development process.

With Droid Engineers sitting right between both of them.

Great great feature
But bah
if this doesnt show how much Rangers and SLs are crying out for a revamp i dont know what will.
Now, have we got this list before the CU, before Publish 18 and before Publish 21 ? Wonder how alot of these professions fared then. Especially combat related ones before and after the CU and Droid Engineer for before Publish 18 and after Publish 21 ...

Hmmm, last time I was in Theed tho, I didn't see a bunch of Bounty Hunters standing around showing off how big or colorful their scatter pistols were, or talking about how they pwn everyone...

Let's open a thread "How to control Bounty-Hunter population!"
Try Kadaara.

They also include everyone else's alts too. What's your point?

For all the people saying, "haha! Jedi aren't so prevalent", take a real look at what's going on:
Each account gets up to 8 characters, and each Jedi gets an extra one additionally. Jedi being in the middle means there are enough to compensate for all those non-Jedi characters. Plus, the Jedi professions are split up, diluting the numbers even a little bit more. Many Jedi make their alt BHs, which commonly come with rifleman and/or pistoleer. And if you really think there are more CHs than Jedi...well... And this is all in spite of the unlocking process and the grind.
It really helps to reinforce how this game has become primarily focused on Jedi/BH.

I'm finding it hard to see how someone playing on a jedi alt is any different from a BH playing on a crafter alt when it comes to the numbers. These are straight database-drawn X number of Master Profession Y listings. Mathmatically, there is NO difference between a Jedi alt and a paid alt... so why attempt to point out the numbers are skewed?

That even with 7 to 8 non-Jedi alts per account and an increased grind and unlocking process, Jedi as split-up professions still manage to fall into the middle. That's a lot of Jedi.

Really? REALLY? Wow... I didn't know I got a free 2nd character just for Mastering Ranger! Wooooooot! Whoo hooo!
</sarcasm>
Jedi alts are entirely different than multiple accounts... as I'm sure you well know...

Each Jedi = alt+1. Each Jedi character increases the number of non-Jedi, and so even with that, Jedi still fall in line nicely for numbers.
Do you really see more CHs than Jedi?

I was gonna write a long post about the placement of Jedi on the list(s) and why it's pretty much irrelevant, but it's not worth the effort. I just don't get what the continuing outcry about Jedi is all about. The writing has been on the wall for ages:Jedi willcontinue to become more common because people want to play one. Those people aren't willing to put in much effort, so the developers will keep making it easier to play one and Jedi will just keep getting nerfed. It will never be an "alpha class" again, and anybody who thinks it is now is misguided. Any well-equipped non-jedi can kill a jedi or force him to run. Doesn't matter if you're melee or ranged, really, although meleers with healing probably have the easiest time of it. Jedi are not 'elite'... they're just marginally better in some areas.
