In your guide you mentioned that absolutely no spatial or emote whatsoever. I am fine with that. My question involve the Squad Leader's abilities such as form up or rally. Since when the SL uses these specials he would have to say something in spatial, would doing so cause mobs to spawn on you?

That is correct. But since your SL doesn't even have to be inside the bunker in order to use his abilities. a second computer running the SL as groupleader with a clever macro could do the trick. Waiting at the smugglers outpost cantina or something.

I like the guide, but it has 2 fundamental flaws:

1) you base your dmg on jedis.

As you stated, these are very fragile persons, and very hard to come by. With our group (with 0 jedis) we managed to do 2 craft runs in less then 2 hours (we crafted the second part before our mind buffs ran out).

2) you use the mind buff "exploit"

I really detest any kind of exploit used in the creation of something 'unique'. no exeptions.

You can get equally good results on a group without jedi. If you have a good, well balanced group, you will never ever run out of mind buffs!

the key factor on 'good' groups is imo commando flames... dont underestimate their dmg.

Lol i wish jedi were hard to come by, you cant move for white robed, 'Jedi' on farstar.

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."

Wendel,

If you can provide more info about the pump sequence that would be great. Does it triggper spawns when you are messing around with the controls. Has the puzzle been the same or different each time? Might be if you can post a movie on how your gruop did the sequence with a spoiler warning in it? Thanks for your help this has been a great guide. Our group went the furthest we have been in DWB after reading your guide.

Just did the water pumps last night, I just force ran around the room switching each terminal on, everytime i did, another one went back to red, so after doing this for about 3 mins they all finally turned green. I don't know if it was a special combination or just a set sequence in which they go on and off.

its a random sequence for each user that takes the quest...i did mine in under 30 seconds thankfully since i figured ot their on/off pattern quickly enough..was quite the rush to go back down to the miner..lol

Very comprehensive guide, I look forward to watching the videos.

I would argue that if you have a heavy group of any profession (sides like TKM ) you'll do all right - Heavy Commando with burn damage I've seen work, My group usually does heavy Swords/Rifle, - yours does heavy Jedi. I bet Heavy Pike/Carbs would work.

I think a cohesive group is most important thing by far - using CM's and Jedi vs Rifles vs Commandos vs Whatever is a secondary issue - the group and tactics are more important.

I can't wait to get back down there - have you or Nizzle ever tried dual crafting jetpacks? We're gonna try it, degroup one MA and team mmeber, have them group together, and craft, and hope they get punted, while the other MA and rest of the group tanks, and then move in and craft a second one. I don't know if it'll work, but it's worth a shot.

Also, we've talked in spatial and done emotes all the time. I have a rather funny Singing macro for SBD's I sometimes use. It's NEVER spawned an SBD on us - the only SBD's are the ones that are always there, on your video, map, and otherwise.

Ye, the group tactics are the most important thing... But we use Jedi for 1 particular reason - Our 8 man core team can kill a SBD in 45 seconds. I'd like to see a group of 8 man without Jedi do that..

About the SBD's with spatial... explain this:

We have been downthere more than 30 times... we have crafted 3 jetpacks and a mandalorian helmet.. (we're even taking orders on jetpacks now). We have been farming 1 particular spot in the attempt to loot more Binarys/protective coatings... we know exactly what mobs spawn and where.

one day we got bored... and started doing emotes, spatial chat and such just for fun. less than 30 seconds after, 2 SBD's spawned. I use overlaymap, and i know EXACTLY where all mobs spawn. That's part of our tactic, we know what mobs spawns and where.

These just spawned out of nowhere. They didn't come from a room next door.. they spawned right on top of us. It has never happend before, and never happend afterwards, since we made the rule of no emotes/spatial chat on our trips.

It certainly does make a lot of difference, our last 10 man group (with no Jedi) had no trouble getting into the mines, but the SBD's took us far too long to kill.... Took us so long the waterpump part of the foreman mission timed out :/ We'll do it next time though
