Hi!
I've been playing SWG from Summer 2003 and love the game - even though I have dropped out a couple of times and come back.
When I am running around it always puts a smileon my face to see newbies getting into the action, and it reminded me of the euphoria that my early days in SWG.
What has been your best / favourite / most enjoyable moment in SWG since you started playing?
(And anyone who says "cancelling my account" is just not funny!)
Here is favourite moment!
Back in the early days on my other character, my brother, our friend Argyros and I decided to set-up houses in the middle of Tatooine near the Squill Caves, in preparation for the advent of player cities.I loved the game so muchI actually bought them both copies!
When the day for Player Cities arrived, I had the deed, went to Bestine to get trained in Novice Politician, and then we got ready for the long haul to our chosen location...
In those times, the 3k run across the Tatooine desert was not one that you did without some planning... There were no speeders, no mounts, no buffs, no composite armour (none you could wear anyway) and running into a Tusken Warlord meant death. I cannot even tell you how many times that journey turned into a 3 hour major battle!
It must have taken us about an hour to work our way there... One of the guys got killed, but they told me to run on ahead so that I didn't miss out on one of the 10 player city slots.
My heart was pounding... the adrenalin coursed through my veins as my bro saw some Mountain Squill right where I wanted to put the City Hall.
Bravely, he led them away and I dropped the hall just before I got aggroed by some Alkharan bandits and our city was born.
I didn't sleep the night before, or the night after...And not just because wespent a lot of the next day holed-up in our houses trying to take out the Squills who were outside.
It was hard as hell, but it was fun!!!
Your turn now!
I remember that time very very well
Shame you screwed it all up with allthe events that followed after. Upset alot of people that did
Interesting Sig you got there Delano. New toon after leaving Naritus not so long ago and "cough" handing your old account over to a player there, fast unlock and grind to knight all in 2 months? Or was this the account of your friend that you got to make a toon on Naritusthat time sotogrief all of Darkfire's people? Funny how the names are almost the same
Argyros 12pt Fs MasterDoctor & MasterSwordsman & MasterMadGreek - Naritus
Yannis Jedi Knigh'ish! - Naritus
RisenStar MasterArchitect & MasterArtisan & MasterMerchant & MasterFish - Naritus
GBH Guild Leader of the Grievous Bodily Harm Guild
Co founding 2nd Member of the DarkFire Guild (DFG)
Co founding 2nd Member of the DarkFire Metropolis Tatooine
Mayor was so far up his own ar$e I just had to leave! Good Job the Duke sold his account on eBay, same place he got his Jedi!
Yannis is the Greek word for the name John. After Mastering 24 Professions I unlocked my Force Sensitive Slot 19th May 2004 @ 04:06GMT. My Jedi is named in the memory of a very dear friend who passed into the next life 4 days before I became a Jedi. Rest in Peace my friend, for you shall never be forgotten.

One more - My best in-game friend (who took me under his arm when I was a newbie) and I running around Dath trying to level me up in TK.. no buffs, no vehicles, no terrain negotiation. Taking down a rancor solo for the first time (again, no buffs) and us both going, "phew TKs are really overpowered let's keep quiet before they nerf us"..

Think one of the more memorable moments happened a day ago.
I was at a buddies shop to pick up some nades and i noticed he had a nalagron (large piano) in the corner. I went to play it and it moved. I kept hitting keys and moving it around in his shop. Finally he noticed all the commotion andhis precious pianobeing moved in his shop and was quite shocked that i was moving something in his shop without being on admin. His short reply was your not on admin why are you able to move stuff around in my shop? Well at that point i was laughing so hard that i was crying. I noticed he had one of those burning firepits in his shop and was busy draggingit thereto set fire to it since it must be possesed by the devil. Lol he finally picked it up before I made it. So lol if you happen to have a nalagron set up in your house or shop and its mysteriously moved don't be alarmed.. You've been visited by the new piano mover in town.

Wihtout a doubt, the best times in SWG were the first weeks of the game.
The companionship, made it all worthwhile. There were no elite guilds that spat on new players, there were no over confident jerks because, we were all newbies.
I miss those days.
The days when a single Mountain Squill could wander into Mos Eisely and kill literally everyone in town, because buffs were unheard of. Super weapons didn't exist, and the most powerful players in the game were wielding flame throwers.
These were truly the good ol' days of SWG.

My best moment was when the Mayor of the City I was living in and the Guild Leader of the guild I was in made a decision which affected all City Citizens and all Guild members.
The Mayor and guild leader were one and the same, and quit the game quite suddenly without so much as a good bye or a passing of the torch. This left the city in disarray and near collapse. The Mayore wasnt all too blame as the game system meant the incumbent mayor was re-elected unless half the city voted for an alternative and many city citizens were dormant or even had quit themselves.
Well it was a right old pain in the whatsit to rectify the situation, which we did eventually after a long and arduous struggle. Would have been a lot easier had the incumbent said goodbye and put matters in order and handed over the reigns properly.
Oh well. Life is dull without challengs, but a farewell would have been good.........

I would have to say one of my most memorable was getting on the Corellian Corvette with my guild for the first time. We didn't know what the hell to do but it was cool.

After being a full combat template since the days of no vehicles, I made a great decision to start crafting and went armorsmith. It was a much needed breath of fresh air, to this day still half armorsmith, half combat and loving it
