I can't even believe this.... after weeks on end of SonG telling you guys what is wrong you and come right out and say it is working properly.. and you haven't even tested it.... come on here this is just nuts.... how about this.. play the game you are making us play..... and get a clue... you guys drove SonG out of corespondent for jedi cause you wont listen to any one.... this game has been so messed up since cu went live.. and you say working as intended to everything someone brings up and you haven't even tested it.... this is just so infuriating

No, this ability is working properly. It is a straight number that has been checked.

If I had an idea of what your template was, what weapon you were using, which follow up attacks you used and what your were fighting, I would be happy to look into it further.

Oh wait no it can't. Bustingsomeone on a broken item they're bragging about seems to work. Can't wait to see next weeks maybe Knockdown recovery.

Can not perform Knockdown Recovery while knocked down.

/etc;

Works for me. /shrug

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

This is how it work right now
ArmorBreak = Armor * ##%

If the number (##) of effect from Improved Armor Break is "40", this means that the armor will be set to 40% when armorbreak is applied:
5000 armor * 40% = 2000, Improved Armor Break have reduced armor with -3000

If the number (##) of effect from Advanced Armor Break is "60", this means that the armor will be set to 60% when armorbreak is applied:
5000 armor * 60% = 3000, Advanced Armor Break have reduced armor with -2000

This is how it should work
ArmorBreak = Armor - ##%

If the number of effect (##) from Improved Armor Break is "40", this means that the armorwill be reduced with40% when armorbreak is applied:
5000 armor- 40% = 3000, Improved Armor Break have reduced armor with -2000

If the number of effect (##) from Advanced Armor Break is "60", this means that the armorwill be reduced with60% when armorbreak is applied:
5000 armor- 60% = 2000, Advanced Armor Break have reduced armor with -3000

--- Cancelled 24th November 2006
Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

Speaking of a 1-2 combo. Is the combination of Dizzy and Knockdown supposed to have little to no effect? Knockdown seems to last for approximately 1 shot, no matter whether or not the target is dizzy. Is that intended? I miss seeing the enemy NPCs try to stand up and fall back down when they are dizzy.

Dizzy gives -accuracy and -defense now; it has no effect on attempts to recover from a knockdown.

Ok, I think I see the problem.
When you are calculating the percentage that the armor is reduced by, you need tomultiply by100% minusthe percent of reduction. So 55 for a 45% reduction, 50 for a 50% reduction, 40 for a 60% reduction and soon.

Ta-da. A very common math mistake.

Thanks. I don't remember ever reading what Dizzy did post CU. It would be nice to have an official guide on the states and other aspects of the CU that didn't have to come from a player. (hint, hint)

I know it's not an official guide, but check out Combat Basics: States on SWG Wiki.

Another, possibly simpler, way to put it is:

Correct:
Improved:5000 - (.40 * 5000) = 3000
Advanced: 5000- (.60 * 5000) = 2000

Incorrect:
Improved:5000 * .40 = 2000
Advanced: 5000 * .60 = 3000

Devs, maybe you need to hire a good set of consultant testers who can help you make the game better. I have a good idea where you can find a very qualified bunch for the position.

weeee dont we all love logic errors, no matter how long you stare at the numbers, if the guys writing the code doesnt catch the flawed logic, it will all still look good, lord knows i've written programs that i swore should have worked, and just never came out right... lots of coffee and numerous dark sunless hours, i finally caught the flawed logic...

TH,
No offense man, but posts like really make it hard to try and talk people into coming back to the game. Over and over, I keep telling them SOE is listening and things are getting better, they keep saying SOE doesn't care.
Then a post like this is made. This has been a known issue for a long time.

See, for me, this is encouraging, because this is the way communication should work. He made a post, people corrected him, he went and checked with a Dev to see what the issue is, he tried to clear it up, it was still off, and he went back with more information, all in a timely fashion. It doesn't speak well for whoever's responsible for parsing the bug threads and correspondents' issues and passing them up the food chain (which pretty clearly isn't TH), but it is good to see someone passing information through. Compare this with certain other people who take 12+ hours to respond in a vague fashion if at all, and disappear entirely if contradicted. I wish there were more posts like this (but it would be even better if the /bug system worked like it was supposed to in the first place).

This thread is just priceless. Glad to see the Development staff takes notes on the bug threads!!! What a joke.

Do us all a favor, stop PRETENDING to communicate, and actually do it. Since we all now know you don't read the bug list (and since this has been an issue for WEEKS!!!! ), why don't you just put a list together of all known bugs, so we can stop doing your QA testing for you!!! This way you can at least acknowledge that you are aware of the problem!

Heck, if I was a developer, and I played this game, I would probably put that I did QA for this game down on my resume! hahahahaha!

Joke - How many SWG Developers does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Answer - None! They didn't even know it was out!

It seems given the chance any thread the Dev's show they will listen to will turn in to a bug thread. Yet noting seems to be done by them with the In-Live/In-Testbug threads just tuns of posted bugs nothing said, nothing fix, nothing getting worked on.Kind of sad really.

Anyway about the only thing helping me outright now is
