I have an Imperial character on Tarquinas. I cannot equip the Hat in my inventory, nor can I buy one from the recruiter. It's not listed. Yes, my Imperial char is a human male.

Edit: Ah, tomorrow. Thought is was live today. Carry on then. Time to go covert again...

I have never read petition threads in the past and I will not begin to do so on these forums.

We are doing you a favor by making petitions here on the boards. There are thousands and thousands of loyal Imperial players who can be just as dedicated to clogging ingame ticket and /bug channels with stuff like this. A petition doesn't force players to take a side, it forces devsto take one. You're either with us,informing us ofthe status of fixes we want, or you're not.

/agreed

And most times by the time it has come to petitioning time it has been posted many many times with the devs either ignoring the problem or locking the thread. Even when the post was originally started by a dev and did not like the answer they got back. (JTL Top 5 Issue in beta comes to mind).

For all the people who wonder why the retarded devs get bashed this is why. You get an arrogant moronic dev coming to this thread and admitting that they do not give a crap about our opinions and wishes. Petitions are a great way to gauge what the PAYING GAMER wants! What this angry dev dude is saying is they totally ignore us and do whatever they want to do. That would explain all the stupid things they have done and were forced to retreat from.

hm

first when tiggs starts responding to people's post (being probably the only dev that does so on day-to-day basis) people /cheer Tiggs and basically worship her. But how quickly do they forget about it as long as their little feelings get hurt....awwwww cry me a river.

I especially love when someone that apparently does not read the boards, and has no clue of what is going on comes in here and makes an absolutely stupid comment. How about this: if you have nothing contributing to the topic that you have to say, do us a favor and hit the little [x] in the top right corner of the window. Noone wants to hear this, go troll elsewhere. If you hate the game and the devs so much, there are plenty of other games you can play. But you know what? I think the real problem with petitions is the same as with posters like the one I am replying to: some people just like to whine. They want to find reasons to complain. They want to be on a crusade to change something noone cares about. They enjoy feeling miserable. To all of you, if you are reading this:

Yes, it is true. SOE really hates you. SWG was made for the sole purpose of tormenting you, Every single bug was not a mistake, but a link in a carefully chain of events that is designed to lead you to insanity. In fact, the minds of each and every person working for SOE are dedicated to a single cause - ruining your life.

But you must be careful...watch out for teh black helicopters.

Wow Tiggs. Way to acknowledge that you don't care about the player base.

No, they care about the player base, just not about the petitions. A vocal minority post on the board, and petitions are nothing but a /sign post. No discussion, no differences of opinion, no good or bad reasoning, just /sign here. If someone dares to voice a different opinion, it turns into a flamefest, gets locked/deleted, then starts over.

Besides, I have yet to see any sort of petition get more than a couple hundred /signs...out of a 200-500k player base, thats nothing.

I have yet to see any post get more then couple hundred posts.... out of the same 200-500k player base... does that make them any less important? Just because you do not see the usefullness of a petition does not negate its usefullness. It is a simple way to vote, if we were allowed to setup a vote system I am sure many would use that method instead... or is voting also not important?

No voting in this way is not constructive, it is limiting, petitions give fixed options as opposed to reasoned debate and the offering of opinions. If you want to comment on something then explain why you feel the change would be beneficial, or why you don't like something, or even agree with someone else, if they have really expressed your exact sentiments.

Just saying "I want" is not useful, explaining why it would be beneficial to the game, or a certain group in the game in a sensible way is useful.

200-500k playerbase? Don't make me laugh! The 500k figure comes from an SOE press release that there have been 500k account created since the launch of the game. The last proper info on current players comes from just before TH dropped the bombshell that JTL was to come before combat being fixed. That placed the number of current players at 125k. Following TH's announcement players quit in droves. The only info I can find on how many is using a poll on SWG Stratics, where 15% of people said that they would be quitting. It definately feels like a lot have gone, most places are much more deserted than they were 6 months ago. IMNSHO the current SWG player base is around 100-110k players.

I love it when some retard with less time and posts in this board stupidlty accuses me of not reading the board. I have actively participating on this board much longer than you. You would see that is you actually read.

"""How about this: if you have nothing contributing to the topic that you have to say, do us a favor and hit the little [x] in the top right corner of the window.""""

It would take much more than a angry moron like you to make me cancel. You dumb assis just another subscriber like the rest of usso stop wasting your time with a stupid statement like that.

""""Noone wants to hear this, go troll elsewhere. If you hate the game and the devs so much, there are plenty of other games you can play."''

Since I've been on this board I've never once said I hate the game. How about using some common sense before posting stuff you know nothing about?

Again I have over 1000 posts and by far the majority of them do not mention the devs but we all know you love to acuse people of things you know nothing about.

I'm sorry Tiggs wasn't having her best day. and didn't respondas well as she could have She spends 8-10 hours a day just reading and posting to these boards, and yes she hasn't been here for the entire life of the game. (Neither have I for that matter) Every day she brings a summary of issues to the Dev Team's attention and pushes usto get answers and action. She is working as hard for your interests as anyone on the team.

We do read the boards, even when we aren't responding to each and every thread.

P.S. If you want to get our attention on an issue, work with your correspondent. They are here to represent the professions and interests within the game.

You know Tyrant, when we do so, the correspondant gets an answer and is asked not to give it to us... or sometimes he just gets a lie as an answer, let me show 2 examples about that :

1. Spice downer nerf : The correspondant has been told about the reason of this nerf, it's on the C-Forum, but he is NOT allowed to let it go down to us, even if he admits he can't see no reason why.

2. Crate auto-pulling for slicing : This has been on test center, mentionned and we got the answer that it wouldn't go live. This has gone live, mentionned, and got the answer it would be fixed in a mini-publish. We're still waiting for that fix (which is just to have it the way it was before). Last news we haard is that it wasn't assigned to anyone.

We do support our correspondants, we do submit them the issues that we want to see solved, but when you see the final result, you just can't believe that YOU are listening to them anymore than us. The day you'll prove me wrong (for instance by fixing the 2 mentionned above) i'll be the first to cheer and to agree you DID your job.
