Actually we had no knowledge of your petition. In my opinion, petitions do nothing butforcepeople to takesides on somethingbecause they are afraid what others may think if they don't see their name on the list. I have never read petition threads in the past and I will not begin to do so on these forums.
Wow... shows how often Devs read the GCW forums.

I'm sorry Tiggs wasn't having her best day. and didn't respondas well as she could have She spends 8-10 hours a day just reading and posting to these boards, and yes she hasn't been here for the entire life of the game. (Neither have I for that matter) Every day she brings a summary of issues to the Dev Team's attention and pushes usto get answers and action. She is working as hard for your interests as anyone on the team.
We do read the boards, even when we aren't responding to each and every thread.
P.S. If you want to get our attention on an issue, work with your correspondent. They are here to represent the professions and interests within the game.

The Customer is always right
Pwned
Hope he wasn't one of the morel voters of 2004 rofl
I am very pleased that wearing the hat changes hair to a regulation colour and I am also pleased that 'non standard' hair styles are masked by Imperial tailor excelence.
No more need my eyes be offended by junior officers (in uniform) with green hair, I can simply ask them to wear their hats as per regulations while in uniform and be assured that the dignity of the Empire is maintained.

Heck I'd settle for the helmet the Rebel commando's wore on Endor.
Kitster in Mos Espa used to give this hat out as the reward for his 3rd or 4th quest, of course i did it before the themepark loot/quest tweek months ago
(the same patch where they put the record keeper NPCs around so you could reset your quests)
Kitster's quest didnt reset when i reset my Tatooine quests so he might still give it out,
but anyone can wear it, it isnt rebel only

Like anyone thought you cared about our opinions.
And wow here we are 15months after launch and you fixed the hat! Props to SOE once again.
You sure showed us.

I guess I'm in the minority that agree with Tiggs on this(though maybe not the tone)- petitions aren't useful. Reasoned debate is useful. Petitioners are lots of "Me too!"
And yes, the forum go-ers are vocal, and can even unite. That doesn't mean we represent the gaming community as a whole. We're the ones with freetime and enough dedication or bile to come and post here. We're fairly hardcore, as far as that goes. So what's massively important to us may not be massively important to the game itself....
The sooner you realize that these forums are here for us to talk to each other, and have the side benefit of having the guys that actually develop them game; and that SOE is a corporation, here to make money, the faster you'll stop making yourself AAAANGRY!My first year or so on game forums I wouldget enraged regularly. Then I realized that wasn't good for me.
Now SOE does need to make us happy to make money. But there's a difference between dedicating coders to fixing a hat, and dedicating people to revamping an entire game, or continuing to make upgrades (Every MMORPG has to have expansions) and the like. I've been a coder. I've been a coder on a project that went from my hands, and my test group's hands to public use. People do things you never, ever could have imagined. You say things like "Why on EARTH did you try to open both those files by right clicking while closing the screen and installing the patch?!"And the larger the scale, the more things break. I hate bugs. I'll rant about them. But when it comes down to it, I don't think the Devs are incompetent, or trying to mess with us. They're guys that go to work8 hours a day, deal with meetings, deal with deadlines, and do what they can, and what their bosses will let them do.
And re: The Customer is Always Right: No, no they aren't. That's a catchphrase from the 80's that is horribly horribly incorrect. The Customer is Always Important. Not right. The customer wants what is best for themselves. If everyone got what's best for themselves, everyone else could very easily get screwed. The customer just doesn't know everything that's going on.
No one is denying the behind the scenes goings on. We know they work hard.
But the team has a clear issue with order of operations and balance, period.
They are polishing the car (which is hard work, granted), yet the car has 4 flat tires.
Which is more important?
JTLS was done primarily to make the game more fun and to rake in more cash, yet the ground game suffered and continues to suffer.
I am in love with JTLS and I don't even participate in the ground game anymore. I kinda wish JTLS was a separate game like KOTOR or SW BAttlefront.
Why do you think the patch notes haven't included much if anything from the ground game for so long? Are you gonna tell me nothing on the ground needs to be patched?
Balance is needed.
