Actually we had no knowledge of your petition. In my opinion, petitions do nothing butforcepeople to takesides on somethingbecause they are afraid what others may think if they don't see their name on the list. I have never read petition threads in the past and I will not begin to do so on these forums.
I agree that petitions do nothing as far as promoting new development.
Also, I suggest that none of these forum posts matter as far as promoting new development.
The only time it "appears" that forum suggestion posts matter is when something is suggested that was already planned for the game.
As a result, the poster believes they made a difference when they actually had no effect on this game's direction.
The only time I've ever seen these forums make a difference is when all of the Bounty Hunters began to hijack every thread and began to quit in droves... as a result, the BH got about 3 days worth of development time (one droid tracking fix for the 0,0 bug).

Now that imps have their hat can rebels have the helmet from endor back and the helmet from A New Hope. While you are at it add the imp helmet for the ATST driver that Han solo wore and imp helmet for the Death Star troopers in black. This might be a minor thing to you DEVs, but the clothing is one of many thingsthatmakes Star Wars stand out.
I agree! Clothing and being able to make your character "look like they do in the movies" is HUGE part of what makes this game Star Wars and not some sci-fi futureistic MMOG with no back story. Being able to don the helmets like the pilots had for the rebels, or the head gear they had on Endor, the space suit boxes like the movie pilots had, etc. are all a big part of what makes this game emersive and fun. In fantasy games, clothing is a minor issue mostly. An elf can wear 3 or 4 clothes and it won't matter since there isn't a back story and all the emphasis is on fighting anyway. Here is SWG, there is an over reaching story, and there are tailors who help bring this emersion as their profession. I think that adding 'star wars' gear to the tailors and armorsmiths should be a large priorty going forward!
Oh, and on the other topic here, I guess I'd also like to hear what is the best way to bring large issues/bugs to the devs. I always thought petitions worked well, since it gives them a chance to see just how many people are lining up behind an issue, and no one seems to timid to voice their opinions here, either for or against the petition. Group think isn't really an issue I don't think, since everyone here on the boards (mostly) enjoys or really wants to enjoy swg and has its best interests in mind. The Top 5 and Top 10 profession lists and the petitions all seem to be ignored similarly, so my question is, what is the best way to give information and some get info back?

No flaming here, but even if you don't read them I think it'd better to keep this info for you because doing so you :
- Let us think you don't care about the players wishes, as petitions are one of the way to advertise what players wants. (Maybe not the best way,I agree)
- Open a wide gap to flaming, and yes I'm pretty sure you where aware of it writing that post.
- Moreover your post is a "closed post" you should have added something like"I don't read petitions... but you can express your conserns / wishes that way...."
- Lastly we know SOE read them because : decay is removed from Pvp andWookies have armors

Edit : seems I forgot the best part "to do so on these forums." I wonder you may try to let us understand you are reading/ signing / starting petitions on some others forums ![]()

?? Dude all I can say way to put your foot in your mouth. As a guild leader I know what being political means and obviously you can't do that. Petitions and the forums are the ways we contribute to the devs. I Know as a leader I don't publicaly denounce not listening to an issue. Forcing to take sides ??. I didn't care about Imp hats and didn't petition. Dude I know you know what your doing but you have to be more political and sensitive to the player base.
Anywho, does it come in Black? Us pilot Officers need a black hat to go with our black uniforms

I'm sorry Tiggs wasn't having her best day. and didn't respondas well as she could have She spends 8-10 hours a day just reading and posting to these boards, and yes she hasn't been here for the entire life of the game. (Neither have I for that matter) Every day she brings a summary of issues to the Dev Team's attention and pushes usto get answers and action. She is working as hard for your interests as anyone on the team.
We do read the boards, even when we aren't responding to each and every thread.
P.S. If you want to get our attention on an issue, work with your correspondent. They are here to represent the professions and interests within the game.
I don't envy Tiggs at all..... her job must require a lot of patience, but she seems to be doing a very good job, for someone who's come into the game 12 months in - it's hard enough to get into any MMORPG, and even harder to have the courage to start posting on these forums, for the fear of being 1-starred and flamed.
Sometimes I read through the many winges, gripes and stupid comments from people on these forums and just hang my head in shame that all SOE ever see are these sort of posts..... ![]()
