set it to 3600.

360 is only 6 minutes.

First and foremost, unattended macroing is against SOE's rules and could possibly get you banned. I have yet to see that, but it is possible. Be careful when doing it. There are CSR's running around in-game taking down names (rather than working to close tickets, but that's a different story). They will nerf things in an attempt to prevent this kind of stuff.

Secondly, there is no /command to disband a camp. The camps will disband automatically after 50-60 min (I've never managed to stay online long enough to verify this, but the Scout boards give those times).

Best course of action is to just suck it up, and grind away for a day or two. Camping is the ONLY source of Survival XP, however there is a proposal in front of the dev's for alternate means of gaining it. /shrug

Good luck.

uhh i was under the impression that if a camped simply timed out, you got zero survival exp. you have to actively disband it or fight a monster to abandon the camp. i dont think any macro will work for this. plus its naughty /rollseyes.

Just a quick word of caution. Now that items in camps can be picked up *weird huh* I suggest placing the control pad in your inventory so that other "jokesters" don't run into your camp and take it. Sure, the camp will still disband on it's own, but it's the principle.

My advice is always build the larger camps once you have them. Always build when you need to heal and get some basic medic skills to heal yourself, as you get more XP when there is more healing done in your camp. Also, as far a leaving a camp up overnight, you will max out the XP well before the night is over; and you get no XP if you exit the game with a camp standing. I usually try to set up camp if before I take a restroom break or to grab a snack to leave it up for a while.

A few things on the camping macro issue.

There is *not* a command to disband your camp. There are only four other ways to disband your camp.

#1 - You can do it through the control panel for the camp...select the option "Disband Camp".

#2 - You can leave your camp...I think the range is 200 meters or so. It will automatically disband.

#3 - You can get in a fight, this will disband your camp after a few seconds of battle.

#4 - You can let it "expire" or "time-out"...when the max time for that camp is reached, it will automatically disband.

All four of these methods will award you survival exp...if you set up a camp, you *will* get survival exp...no matter how it is disbanded.

To answer the question above...YES, letting your camp time-out WILL get you survival exp.

I'll save the macro righteousness debate for another thread and time.

I linethe whole bottom row of my toolbar with camps...all 12 slots. And put the script up in the top row somewhere. Note: the camps you get as a "Scout" disband at a max of 50 minutes 30 seconds or so. Thus, the delay is set at 51 minutes to account for lag, etc.

Also note: you need to type /afk before you start this macro...else ya may get logged out by the system for extended inactivity.

Here is the macro I use:

/stand
/pause 10
/ui action toolbarSlot12
/pause 3060
/ui action toolbarSlot13
/pause 3060
/ui action toolbarSlot14
/pause 3060
/ui action toolbarSlot15
/pause 3060
/ui action toolbarSlot16
/pause 3060
/ui action toolbarSlot17
/pause 3060
/ui action toolbarSlot18
/pause 3060
/ui action toolbarSlot19
/pause 3060
/ui action toolbarSlot20
/pause 3060
/ui action toolbarSlot21
/pause 3060
/ui action toolbarSlot22
/pause 3060
/ui action toolbarSlot23
/pause 3060
/sit
/pause 10
/logout

I also have several shorter versions of the same idea, usually with the last three lines removed.

Enjoy!

I just had an idea that will help with survival xp. I love the idea of having fishing and other things help with this but I started thinking that our camps should gather xp depending on where we are camping.

The more I think about it, the more I like this idea. Adapting and surviving in the harshest environments would add a bonus to our camping, say 5%, just making up a number here. While camping in relative saftey of the outskirts of a city would give us a penalty.

I think there should also be planet bonuses along with procimity to civilization. If we gained xp faster on the more difficult plants, and slower on the social ones, it would draw us out into the wild, which is what our class is all about.

In other words, the farther you are from a city the more xp you gain per camp, combined with a bonus for being on a wild planet like lok, endor and dathomir.

Anyone else like this idea?

Nice idea. Hopefully it would motivate people to camp out in the wild a little bit.

Opposed to the guys with the tents on both sides of the bridge crossing the river South of Theed. Those guys make me think of kids camping in the backyard.

What am I saying? You could get your leg bitten offby a diseased nuna or a flesh eating chuba!

(Note: I got no room to talk, when I was grinding it you could see my Field Base from Theed! )

Cheers!

Pitch a camp, script a macro to

/forage;/pause 25 ... repeat for 10 times

Disband camp. About 250 survival xp while you take a break.

fishing and crafting tents give survival XP as well. So grind some camps while camping.

When I set up camp I usually do one or more of the following: construct another campsite, heal wounds, construct wound kits, construct traps, survey/sample for resources, enjoy the sunset/sunrise, read a book.
