True, enough, Delta. Didn't even notice that! ![]()
However, there are always new Scouts searching the forum so adding new content to old posts will help others learn from our experiences. The more educated up-and-coming Scouts we have, the more AXP opportunities we'll have! ![]()

In the 2-3 days I've done it, I've finished Entertainer Healing 4 & Musicianship 3, & Survival 3 at the same time. And I th ink the slow drain on my action pool from playing actually helps the Survival XP.
Wow guys.... I'm sorry to hear you all are gaining Survival exp so slowly.Im a casual player and actually found a way to gain exp very quickly. Because of it is so easy, I waited until I hit level IV in all my other Scout skills before spending a few hours doing this.
Your Survival experience is based upon a few factors (i.e. Camp Status Report);
1. # of visitors in the camp at one time
2. # of total visitors to the camp
3. Amount of time camp has been up & running
* I quickly found that if you leave your camp radius and then re-enter it, it will log you in as another visitor. This cuts the amount of time the camp needs to be up to max the exp. The first thing I do once a camp is set up is run in and out atleast 8 times = 8 total visitors.(
WARNING; if you run in & out of range to many times , your camp will disperse, so 8 is a good number.) Once that is complete, the camp should be up for10-16 minutes and it will get you extremely close to the max camp exp.
Inorder to max your exp out quickly, you will need to have other vistors in your camp with you. The more you have , the quicker it maxes. Even if people just run through, it will count.
Basic camps max at...360(?) Medium camps 520(?) and Improved camps at 820/860. I only have my camps up for 10-16min and I usually get 500 for medium & 805 for Improved. It seems that once youget within the last 20-30 max exp points for a camp, the rate of exp gain slows to a crawl.
SO! simply break camp, get your 490-506 exp and recamp! It is really that easy. Just take a break, craftcamps and within a few hours (in between hunts) you will hit the Survival II, III & IV !
p.s.
(When I was camping for points , I didnt have any damage, so I can not say wiether Healing wounds in a camp will increase the experience any faster, it is a good bet that it does play a part.)

lol its common knowlage lol but i guess you never heard about it. What you do to get survival XP is to
1.) build a camp, and then use it.
2.) as your sitting in the camp, continue to build more camps ( with practice mode).
3.) after about 30 min, disband the current camp, and pitch a new one, and then go back to building camps
4.) repeat.....untill finished
this works because when you build camps / scout traps, you get survival XP. So all you have to do is build a crap load of camps ( while your sitting in one for the extra Xp) to get loads of survival XP. Sooooo just build build build and build more camps ( on practice mode to get more XP then you would if it was non-practice)
hope that helps
Find a time when you can play for a few hours, and get together a large group.
If you have a group of about 6 people, and you build a camp where some are healing and others are dancing, you will easily max out a camp in a few minutes. Then disband the camp and build another.
Also, fishing is a pretty quick way to get the xp. There is a pretty good guide in the Guides section on Fishing. Do a search.
But I highly recommend the grouping route. The other advantage of grouping is that you'll advance quickly in your combat skills and others, also.
Don't get stuck in the "grind" mentality, like so many do. Go group with people, make friends and have fun. I guarantee you, you'll advance so fast, you won't know what hit you.
Yes, you also get more xp the more people visit your camp (even someone just running through it), but that ends up just being another way to grind. You could spend the 30 minutes crafting more camps and traps (camps give the most survival xp when crafting though since it's based on the number of materials used) or you could keep running in and out of your camp for the same 30 minutes, but either way it boils down to boring grinding.
Grouping is much more fun, though there is sometimes the problem of too many scouts/rangers, where someone throws down a camp at the drop of a hat even when you have asked to set them all. Grouping is also much more efficient since you only need to have your camp up for about 5 minutes to get the same xp it would take if you camped by yourself for 30 minutes and crafted the whole time (or ran in and out over and over to get your visitor number way up).
