343 misdirected answers from devs
78 misleading answers from anyone
this all adds up to about 1.5 years and 30k accounts lost andf then a lightbulb goes off in a dev coders mind
he thinks hey we can keep peeps if we fix the hat issue

This is what I dislike about developers. The boards are there with the option for us to voice opinions and ask for things that need changing, and they are ignored if they are voted for in mass numbers. Great democracy they got there.

You guys had no knowledge of our petition to bring back imperial hats and to have visible faction ranks? These are ones that have been around forever, before your time tiggs but not before TH and some of the devs... What does it take then, if not a petition, to take a good topic to your attention? (besides the rank one is still going on with dozens of pages and hundreds of signatures) I know you have the 'suggestions' thread but see, thats not enough for us. We really like when devs can work with our idea so it can be molded into something you guys can work with, not something that is locked, or just ignored in the thread...atleast some type of feedback.
The least you guys could do is post in petitions or other idea posts is by telling them "We know you guys really want visible ranks and I have taken note and sent it to the other devs to see what can be done. This is a low-priority item so do not expect this to be pushed live soon, but I will try to promise you that you can hopefully have it within the next publish."
OR
"Sorry guys, having visible ranks is too time consuming and we probaly will not be able to do it for atleast until the GCW revamp. We have took note of your ideas and if we can use it, we certainly will."

Some type of feedback, especially in the GCW forums where people tend to get impatient for being ignored...will be greatly appreciated. It only takes your 'paw of approval' plus a message saying if its a 'possible' idea that can be implemented sometime.

Now that imps have their hat can rebels have the helmet from endor back and the helmet from A New Hope. While you are at it add the imp helmet for the ATST driver that Han solo wore and imp helmet for the Death Star troopers in black. This might be a minor thing to you DEVs, but the clothing is one of many thingsthatmakes Star Wars stand out.

We are doing you a favor by making petitions here on the boards. There are thousands and thousands of loyal Imperial players who can be just as dedicated to clogging ingame ticket and /bug channels with stuff like this. A petition doesn't force players to take a side, it forces devsto take one. You're either with us,informing us ofthe status of fixes we want, or you're not.

Show me exactly where it says these message boards are a democracy.
People don't seem to realize, message boards are privite property. Most boards allow the public to use them, but with certain guidelines and rules. There is no true freedom of speech, no true democratic voting, no true freedom on a message board. Somebody, somewhere, is in full control of how you use it and post on it. Your choices come down to follow the rules, or post somewhere else.
SOE has no obligation to provide these boards, allow you to say what you want, or anything of the sort. They are letting us use these boards as a privilage, one that they can easily take away. They do, however, provide these boards to give us a chance to express opinion and have some fun, so long as we follow the rules. We should be thankful they setup the boards at all.

No, they care about the player base, just not about the petitions. A vocal minority post on the board, and petitions are nothing but a /sign post. No discussion, no differences of opinion, no good or bad reasoning, just /sign here. If someone dares to voice a different opinion, it turns into a flamefest, gets locked/deleted, then starts over.
Besides, I have yet to see any sort of petition get more than a couple hundred /signs...out of a 200-500k player base, thats nothing.
