There is a copy/paste text command in the Key Map listing. By default they are not assigned to to any keys, but you can easily change them if you are used to using those commands in word programs.

Which should actually be considered as a bug. Many people use Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V for copy/paste, but usually Ctrl-Insert and Shift-Insert are bound to the same functions in windows programs, too. Not in SWG though.

However, my tip for this tuesday:

If you want to get higher level missions with higher mission payouts, than group with your pets and droids.

Take a trip to the most "dangerous" planet in SWG, Dathomir.

Even though it is so dangerous - take a trip 5k metres west. Or north. Or South. It's a nice scenery, and there's isn't a single mob out there....

(nice bug,eh? not)

Tip: Management of your structures without using the raidal menu

/stru Opens the structure status window

/addp xx = Add xx power

/pay xx = Pay xx maintenance costs

/nam abcd = rename the structure abcd

Thanks to the lovely lady that gave me these tips.

If anyone knows the short cuts for opeing the Operate Machine raidal menu, this would round this set out.

TIP:

If you require CSR attention for a buggy harvester, dissapearing items from bank, items being stuck in walls of a house, etc. :

1) create a trouble ticket,

2) wait for the automated spam "Thank you for submitting ..." response (this might take some time but be patient)

3) reply to the autmated message giving additional information, if requested

4) THEN (and only then) take a week's vacation to Bermuda.

This way, you only have to wait about 2 or 3 more days for someone to respond to the ticket.

Not really a tip, but it's funny:

Find a stromtrooper (may have to be covert rebel for this to work)
Start playing a song
He will watch
Stop playing the song
Watch the different reactions that he makes. So far I have seen:
- Holding his nose
- Covering his ears
- Ordering me to get outta there
and a few others.

Not useful, just funny to watch a ST pinch his nose in disgust.

I know I've seen this once before on these boards but I haven't been able to find it again.

guild:GUILD initials (ex: Guild initials of IN gets admin add of "guild:in").

Does this work for mail as well?

When taming baby creatures, use "/peace" before you begin taming and if the creature attacks you when you fail to tame it, you will not autoattack and kill the poor thing.

Dude... they should make a Star Wars and Castlevania cross-over game. Yeah!

Trouble logging on after the maintainance patches? Here are some of the tips that my group uses....

Try these:

1. The alternate character load = Create, or try to log, another character on a different server, but don't play it. Return to your original character and attempt to login again. (I have had several successful loads with this technique)

2. The flip-flop = Alternate back and forth between the loading screen and character selection screen by clicking "back" and "next" in regular succession. (This hardly ever works)

3. The restart= End your SWG program(back to desktop) and loginfrom scratch again. This can work, but sometimes if heard it can slow your initial loginscreen. (This has worked for me a few times also)

4. The captain crunch and a banana = While you wait for thenever ending"Connecting to Galaxy" text, go to the kitchen and have a bowl of captain crunch and a banana while watching TV. By the time you are finished you won't be any closer to logging in than before. (I use this one alot,.....mostly so that I don't punch a hole through my monitors) Note: This technique works well with Coco Puffs and Frosted Flakes also.

Scout/Survey tip:

Never drop a camp without pinging for at least one or two of your needed resources,.....Find something worth sampling and set-up camp. You can heal, sample, and survive all at once. Craft while you rest between samples if you need to,....or use your favorite sampling macro in camp.

Don't kneel or sit when you'retrying to get ona shuttle or star ship. You can't use your ticket unless you're standing, it seems.

I'm not sure if this is new, but there is an option in the options screen to unset the default so that your player doesn't always run. Click the box by "Player runs by default" and your walking like a mad man!

Does anyone know how to change the colorsof the font on the planetary map? I can't see the names of the cities or WP without right-clicking...

I don't know what people are talking about here. I've played every day and it never takes me more than 5 minutes at most to log in.

I always exit the game completely each time after daily 4AM maintenance. That way if there is a new patch it will be downloaded when I log into the launchpad. I just assumed this would be the best way to do it. It's always worked for me and I've never experienced the 20 minute load times or 2 hours of the log in server not working. If it is sitting and saying connecting to galaxy for more than like 1 minute just hit back and next like Feuerdog wrote.

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."
