Thread: What has been your best / favourite / most enjoyable moment in SWG since you started playing?

One more, and I can't believe I forgot this one, stepping off a shuttle in a small player city on Dantooine on my way to pick up some supplies, when I turned and saw 'an old man' walk up to me and call my name.

"soloing" a tough nightsister by pulling it into the dath imp prison and letting the 3 atst's andtroops there attack it, and all my pets (3-4 rancors, 2-3 grauls, craggy bolma, several mereks, can't remember if i got it but it took 45min at least). after pulling it from 150m away, the troops near the main gate all died, i had to manually pull it another 100m to the next atst, then another 200m to the third atst.. i made waypoints to the all so i knew what direction to run.. i don't think there were buffs in those days.. i did that a lot, sometimes i died, sometimes i killed it, once i had to leave and someone else i think probably finished it.
other moments, finding my first crystal (it was yellow, someone offered me 10k for it back when nobody knew what to do with them), finding 2 holos in an hour (about 2 weeks before xmas when everyone got one for free), mastering CH..

my favorite moment had to be the first time my RL father played
my dad decide to give SWG a try. My dad isn't much of a gamer. Well the first day he was on
we were waiting for a ship to dant to hunt and show him how the game works. My RL friend,
syler, was a Master Doc and was buffing us. Well i was a MCH then too and didnt tell my dad
that much about it then. Well i thought it would funny to see his reaction to pulling out
a rancor and commanding it to follow him. Well i told syler about it and when i pulled out the rancor
and did the /tellpet so he didn't see it. well syler told him he better run. At that point, i watch my father
running around the starport. Well i was busting up laughing/crying. My father at that point called me on the phone. when i answered i trying not to laugn. He said "I can't get away, it just keeps following me"
at that point i couldn't hold it back any longer and start laugh it took him a sec to realize why. then i told him it was my pet.

Well....................it was little over a year ago. I was an aspirering smuggler one day after a few days off line i logged in to find my house gone along with 2 or 3 k of hide and bones I had collect with novice scout skill. Being a bit bummed out I headed to Tyrena to have a few drinks in the cantina. It happened that I ran into some imperials who where not really excited about my sliced gear so we had a small altercation. I managed to play dead for a bit and they left.
I made it to the cantina in Tyrena and having a few more wound then when i started the journey was not planning much for a while other then healing. Boy was I wrong. HEHE.
While in the cantina I met the most wonderful Dancer. She healed more then my mind and while talking I told her about what happened, she was moved by my story and invited me to stay at her place. I took her offer up and she set me up in a spare room. Well after a time she invited me to a camping spot she found and we sat in a camp and just chatted all night. (must have sent about 4 hrs just talking)
Too cut a long story sort the wedding was a blast and we have been together since. I shall never forget that day in the cantina

After spending all my savings on a full Chitin suit and feeling invincible, I decided to go Kryat Dragon watching around the graveyard on Tatooine. Mind you I had no concept of how buffs worked or armor/weapon ratings,etc... All I knew is that I had armor and 0-1-0-0 fencer skills.
So here come these two hotshots killing everything around them.I realized I had a long way to go. Then one of the players came closer and started lighting me up with some unknown power. I noticed my HAM bar changing. He then asked me to group. "Group? What's that?", I asked. He told me not to worry and that we were about to go Kryat hunting. So we went...
We ran into Tusken Raiders, I killed my first one. We ran into big lizard type beasts, I killed my first one. Through conversations with my newly found friends, I understood that I had been "buffed", a new concept for me. So we went on killing and looting until westopped and gazed upon the most formidable sight, a Canyon Kryat Dragon and a Juvenile version. Two dragons!
"CHARGE", one of the team members yelled. 15 minutes later, I had helped kill my first Juvenile Kryat. I was also killed for the first time not so long after by the bigger dragon. I was elated! My first buff, Tusken,Kryat Dragonand death all within an hour or so.

Every time I open my mailbox and see all the vendor mails. Those things are addictive!
And of course there are the cliched things, like standing on a mountain the first time and gaze at the trees, rivers, planets in the sky, clouds, rain, etc. Or your first vehicle and zip across water, your first million credits, hearing a human talking to a wookiee without understanding what the wookiee says (which is always funny), and so on.

My first buff
I had spent my first few days in SWG hanging around Mos Eisely on Tatooine. Never ventured too far out of town, just explored the city, kills some kreetles and nunas.
I finally gathered up enough credits from running missions to head out to Naboo. I flew there, and headed to the field near the raised bridge straight ahead from the starport entrance. i spent a bit of time there working on Marksman and Scout xp so that I could start hunting bigger things. well, a flock of Spinecappers all attacked me, and I was almost dead, and along can a guy that had a Master Doctor title over his head. I asked if he could help me out, because the Stims i made barely did a think to heal me. He kept me healed so i could fight off the attacking animals. he then asked me if i could put up a camp.
i built a camp out of the stuff i harvested off my kills. once i put the camp up, all of the sudded these blue glowie things dropped around me. i saw that my HAM bars started growing. After the glowies were done, he wished me luck, and went on his way.
he didn't give any explanation of what had just happened, but it didn't take long to realize that the spinecappers were no match for me now. they didn't even scratch me. I felt invinsible. So i started to wander outside of theed. it was such a rush taking down a Kaadu with my CDEF Rifle that i proudly carried around.

Quite afew for me.
First was landing as a nub to MMO's in Kor Vella last Feb thinking "ok i read all the stuff, guides, forums so I know what I'm doing". Then running around for 3 days knowing absolutley nothing.
3 Days after starting (still running around Kor lol) still not knowing what I was doing and seeing this huge Wookie name Tharrik Blasting Stormies all over the city. I just followed him around gawking in awe.
Being taken under the same Wook's care and being taught all I needed to know.
Placing my first house in the glorious city of Aries on Coronet.
Being accepted into my first and only guild GLF. Long live our brotherhood.
Mastering Doc and Pistoleer.
And my favorite one was a death. I had been told of the Veers Imp Guild on Scylla many times so I knew the stories of their most ominous warriors - their Jedi. GLF was part of a huge Rebel Raid on the massive fortress that was Fort Veers. About 100 or so of us Rebs staged 1k out and got all set. Being a nub I was just buffing and healing behind the main force. Off we went, 100+ angry Rebs off to smite the mighty Imperial Force. Little did we know that they had around 150 players defending an already well laid out fortress. Trailing our forces, watching the massive chaos over the chat screen, I could tell that things were not going well for us. So I pushed up to lend a healing hand where I could. As I approached the front, I was swept up in our retreating Rebel Forces. Sadly we had to retreat due to an over whelming Imperial presence. As I stood my ground healing those around me, someone yelled "JEDI!!!!!". I turned around to gaze upon hell incarnate coming our way. A wave of blaster bolts and the clanging of swords swept in toward my little encampment. And out in front was the amazing blue glow of a Lightsaber. All I could do was stand, awestruck, watching the masacre occur. And it was coming directly for me. I couldn't moved I was so enamored with the sight. And just like that, the Jedi reached me and with one fell swoop of his blade cut me in two and I was no more. It was something out of the movie Braveheart watching the horde come toward me. All I could say over and over was.... WOW! I need to play more and more and more.
Alas, I am still here.

Joining theETA on Naboo (LowCa)
My 3 Buff session marathon to complete my Fencer grind.
RolePlaying in Cantina's with Skailfsha and other random characters.
My first PvP win against an Imp in Sim City. It was a great battle, he was a great sport.We were both fencers.We fought for what seemed like forever.He wasjust an Imp trying to defend his life/base. I wasjust a rebel trying to defendmy life and freedom. After a few minutes we both were out of character with the LOL chat bubbles flying over out heads. Great fun!
Gang beataring on a tusken witch doctor at Ft Tusken with Riaton and about 20 other toons only to have an Observer walk over and start whooping on us also...
