LOL
I'm sorry to be a repeat poster, but someone mentioned their first mission...

Haha, I got my first destroy mission and ran (and climbed) through the rocks on Tatooine to take care of some pesky nuna lair that a local farmer had some problems with.

"Hey... what's this?" My novice marksman says, "They just want me to destroy this rock? No problem!!"

So... ignoring the countless nunas hopping around the area, our novice hero unloads his CDEF Pistol aimed squarely on the "Rock", which of course turned out to be the Nuna's lair.
Needless to say, all the nunas that were already standing around, plus a whole bunch of new ones that raced out of the lair, all attacked me... nearly incapping me.
I managed to burst run my noob tail out of there AND...
just when the combat music from the army of angry nunas stopped...
I ran right into an agressive Mutant Womp Rat!!!
INCAPPED!!
LOL!

My first mission? I took one from some NPC in the Mos Espa Combat Guildhall, it was a delivery mission.

Of course, I got confused with the little arrow that lead me to it and walked right of the city into the wilderness. I saw a few sights, got aggroed by escaped by running in my little newbie jumpsuit and ended somehow infront of the Tusken Bunker, where I met a nice friendly talkative chap who had never seen a newbie that far out before.

I sorted my self with the little arrow, walked back to Espa and handed the NPC the item and got 650 credits. I felt proud for earning my first bunch of credits.

Hiya, all... my favorite moment was about 8 months ago when i was a 0010 Swordsman, i was fighting banthas for scout xp, got in way over my head. I resigned myself to agrisley demise when out of nowhere, Pec, council member of DSF came out of nowhere in his AV-21 (the first one i ever saw) and saved me. the next day i was in the guild, and the dayafter we went to DWB and got our butts handed to us! that was the funnest 3 days of my SWG life!

My most enjoyable experience was when I was just starting to play... My friend told me to meet him at Coronet and I didn't know you could use a shuttle, so I ran from Kor Vella to Coronet... On the way into the SP, I stopped to delete the waypoint ( I didn't know it was just a waypoint ) and a confirmation popped up saying

"Really Destroy Coronet (Starport)" I seriously didn't know what to do for 10 minutes so I ran away from the city... I didn't know what kind of death penalties there were and hit yes. I ran back to see what had happened and my friend was sitting there wondering what was happening.

I swore to god I would never be so stupid again... On a lighter note I laughed for like 20 minutes straight.

My favorite moment was the first time I organized a hunt myself in front of the Starport. We went to Fort Tusken. That never happens anymore. I miss the whole experience of grouping. We need less grinding and more grouping.

Same for me - I joined a group run by two wookies, one was called slaine. It was only a few weeks after launch. Seeing the fort for the first time and battling at the tunnel entrance in a big group was cool.

Also grouping at the tusken camp in wayfar was really cool.

There have been many, but i'll tell you of one.

As a newish player I discoverd AH and saw the call for a squill hunt. This sounded like fun I had a few skills with a Carb and was trying to become a scout, so I signed up. For the next hour or so we went from Lair to Liar seting up camps inbetwwen to heal wounds and shout ou t the distance to our closest Target (no group waypoints then ).

I got loads of xp and loads of cash, about 1000 credits per lair ( Big money when I thought if I hit 100K I'll have enough for ever ). The groups were fun and I have always gone back for the odd squill hunt every now and again.

I find it interesting that the majority of everyone's favorite moments involve their very first das in game, it seems... Would we all be ahappier if there was a one and one half year rollback? LOL... No, probably not.

Village Phase IV, Combat Quest. Just my best (SWG) mate and I doing it. First attempt.

We were constantly on the brink of failure, at many points I thought to myself, "Right this is it, game over"..

Success (in SWG) has never been so hard-earned and satisfying

Great post, but a tough one. I've been on since day 1 of Live and there've been a ton of enjoyable moments. Couple highlights would be
- 1st month or so - Defending the Imperial base on Talus from a squad of Rebels - came back from running faction missions and was overt - running up to base I see a massive firefight underway - a rebel force had shuttled in from Dearic. Most fun 15 min I'd had.
- Going to Dath for the first time as a novice marksman - realized very quickly, I'm not ready for this planet yet.
- Going back to Dath as a lvl 4 CH - taming my first Rancor. Crawled after him for probably an hour or so - got aggroed, ran like crazy, went back at it. When I saw that "You Tame the Creature" pop up over his head you would have thought I was watching my team score in the super bowl.
- and overall, grouping with friends, back when there were no buffs, no wearable armor and tons of people just having fun and exploring the game.

I've got a few highlights:

The most favorite moment actually happened this past sunday. As of Sunday night, I have now attacked at least once, EVERY single creature in the SWG Universe. I got my short little rodian rear stomped on by Gorax, but at least I did get a hit or 2 off on him first. I can now truly say that I am a Ranger.

Here are some other great moments:

The first day I set foot in Theed. I had been on Tatooine for the first 2 or 3 days of playing, and finally earned enough credits to get off that dust ball. I loaded in theed, and it was such a beautiful city, and so full of life.

The first time I went to the Temple of the Blueleaf. That is still my favorite POI Cave/Dungeon. I still like to go back there and hunt the Dark Klikniks there.

The day that I placed our city hall on Lok. After several days of planning, and scouting out a location, we were ready to place our city hall. I have a short speech after placing city hall thanking everyone for their hard work, and then we had a fireworks show.

The first time I set foot on the Corellian Corvette. That moment was the most "Star Warsy" feeling i've ever had in the game. it felt like it was straight out of a movie. A small rag-tag bunch of people storming through such a large vessel, avoiding the battle droids, and trying to blow up the ship from the inside. We suceeded.

My first time I launched into space. this was still in Beta, but i was just amazed, space is so beautiful.

But i'd have to say the best thing about SWG is the poeple. I've made many good friends in-game.

It's nice to see a positive post amongst all the whinging and crying.

For me my bests moments have been fighting high end content things like killing Krayts, Gorax's, Dark Jedi Masters etc etc. Also the Corvette and the Death Watch Bunker have yielded some great fun.

Like being left on my own to fight the Death Watch Overlord when everyone else was dead or had legged it.

Also I've had some funny moments, like when I was overt and wandered past a load of overt imperials that were role-playing an event, I had no idea what was going on and just started fighting and killing in Mos Eisley theatre, until I got some rather upset tells and left, having killed half the audience at a music recital.

I also look fondly on the times that the town we were living in on Corellia went to war with our neighbours. I'd Mastered Pistoleer and Combat Medic in my first few months of SWG and was creating havoc... got an old pic of that too.

I was here at launch. I could blabber on and on about how things were different, and how much I miss it... blah blah blah.

To be honest, the game experince solidified the minute I loaded into our guild's Nova Courier and manned one of the turrets. At that very moment, I finally felt like the StarWars Experience promised to me from the start was actually delivered.
