Good tip. It will help some of the newer players.
But TH I think it is time to get a newintro paragraphfor the Tuesday Tips. It was ok for the first month or so during the transition into your position. But take the reigns man and add a little personal touch to it. Make this the THUNDERHEART tuesday tips. Heck move Garva to Tuesday and make "Thunderheart Thursday"
You think so?
I've thought that for quite some time now. Personally I like Tuesday with Tiggs, and Thunderheart's Thursdays.

However actually finding an entertainer that is there and willing to give buffs is a tiring thing.
You have to remember, there isn't really any market for non-master buffs since Ent buffs (unlike Doc buffs) aren't able to be overwritten by a higher buff. For this reason, most leveling Dancers and Musicians don't even bother to offer their non-master buffs. In fact, most levelers don't even know how to buff if this is their first time leveling to Master. A better practice than walking in and shouting "who's buffing?" is to just look for the Master tags. If a Master Dancer or Musician is there with their tag up, they are most likely buffing. Just send them a tell saying "excuse me, do you have time to give me a buff?" or something else polite and most will respond to the request as soon as they can (many Ents are in "tell hell" and can't easily break away from other conversations for a few moments).
I agree with the earlier poster though, it would be so much nicer if we had some way for each Ent to advertise where they are and which services they are offering at what price. Pex once talked about a datapad feature for general use that could do something like this. It would rock if instead that idea could be used as an Ent Services tab everyone would have in their DP, sort of like a real time Yellow Pages for services, heh.

Did you know that you can earn money by opening up a space taxi company? You just need any kind of multi passenger ship and use the instant travel option. Yeah, all other JTLers wont need your services but you can carry NON-JTLers that way to different planets instantly so they dont have to wait for the public shuttle. They'll surely be glad to pay to arrive quicker at their destination.
i thought non jtl ppl could not go on mp ships? or does just travel work?
Travel still works, if you are in a group.

Yes. Many times, actually. Some even recent. Heck, maybe I'll go dance in a hotel today just to be different, see if anyone was paying attention in class.ROFL... Well if it's any consolation, I HAVE actually used the hotels... mostly to waste my "meatlump money" into the gambling tables (wish we had more choices there.. but thats another topic)
My Tip:
If you use a wireless mouse, be sure you have spare batteries on hand! Nothing worse then being in the middle of a big trade deal or combat on Dath with some nightsisters and having your mouse go out.
(Which reminds me... i need to get more)
Rechargables are your friend. One set in, one set spare...
which reminds me, must plug the charger in.

TH, thank you for posting this! The biggest problem with /register (now that it's fixed) is that nobody knows about it to use it. Dancers, Muscians, and Doctors (yes, it does work for Doctors) don't know to do it, and people who need their services don't know to look for it.
It's especially important for Dancers, Muscians, and Doctors to get the message. It does no one any good to check the map if nobody's doing it. And many players don't read patch notes or launchpad notes or pay any attention to these forums. Spread the word, everyone. If you know someone in any of the above three professions, tell them about it. If your PA has these profs in it, send a guild email. If people actually use the tools the game provides, someday you won't have to bother travelling to Coronet to get your business done.
If you're on Lok on the Bria server and need BF on Mind Wounds healed, check the map before travelling. I perform at Nym's cantina when I'm online, and I always /register.

This random sig quote is brought to you by Akin's Laws of Spacecraft Design:
"[Mar's Law] Everything is linear if plotted log-log with a fat magic marker."My pleasure - I plan on putting it in January's newsletter too...
I'd recommend giving it it's own little topic on the launchpad too, most everyone sees that. Also anyone who's in a cantina marked as unregistered but has an entertainer in it, let the entertainer know!

First let me just say that I am always polite, or at least I believe I am, I never would walk in and just shout "who's buffing?" Although I get your point that probably happens a lot. And I understand what you are saying. Let me just say what I was trying to say a little better. It would be nice if there was a way that that through the registry, or through some other means, it would be possible to know if there is actually someone there doing mind buffs. I will always use a person that is actually at the keyboard before using a buff bot, whether it is doctor buffs or mind buffs, I am just saying that it is very hard to find someone that is not a buff bot doing mind buffs, without travelling all over the place to do it. I have never played an entertainer and so I do not even pretend to understand what all goes into it. In other words what I am saying is that most people are looking for Mind Buffs and not just BF healing, and it would be nice to know before traveling to a cantina that the person that is registered there is actually there doing Buffs. Thank you , and sorry for any misunderstanding from my previous post.
