Is there someway we can know that there is an actual player there buffing, and not just afk dancing or playing music. I quit going to cantina's because I could never find anyone there to actually buff. After this was put in 11.5 or whatever the next day I went to the cantina and asked if anyone was buffing probably 10 times, no one answered. I figured hey why waste my time, ill find a buff bot. It would much prefer to use entertainers and doctors that are actually there, in fact I do whenever possible. However actually finding an entertainer that is there and willing to give buffs is a tiring thing.

You have to remember, there isn't really any market for non-master buffs since Ent buffs (unlike Doc buffs) aren't able to be overwritten by a higher buff. For this reason, most leveling Dancers and Musicians don't even bother to offer their non-master buffs. In fact, most levelers don't even know how to buff if this is their first time leveling to Master. A better practice than walking in and shouting "who's buffing?" is to just look for the Master tags. If a Master Dancer or Musician is there with their tag up, they are most likely buffing. Just send them a tell saying "excuse me, do you have time to give me a buff?" or something else polite and most will respond to the request as soon as they can (many Ents are in "tell hell" and can't easily break away from other conversations for a few moments).

I agree with the earlier poster though, it would be so much nicer if we had some way for each Ent to advertise where they are and which services they are offering at what price. Pex once talked about a datapad feature for general use that could do something like this. It would rock if instead that idea could be used as an Ent Services tab everyone would have in their DP, sort of like a real time Yellow Pages for services, heh.

Travel still works, if you are in a group.

Travel works for non-JtLers.

ROFL... Well if it's any consolation, I HAVE actually used the hotels... mostly to waste my "meatlump money" into the gambling tables (wish we had more choices there.. but thats another topic)

My Tip:

If you use a wireless mouse, be sure you have spare batteries on hand! Nothing worse then being in the middle of a big trade deal or combat on Dath with some nightsisters and having your mouse go out. (Which reminds me... i need to get more)

I'd recommend giving it it's own little topic on the launchpad too, most everyone sees that. Also anyone who's in a cantina marked as unregistered but has an entertainer in it, let the entertainer know!

I went into the coronet cantina today, as I normally do about every 3 hours or so and there were 47(yes 47) dancers and musicians.. pretty nice for getting that bf down.. I spent a half mil in tips(j/k)

First let me just say that I am always polite, or at least I believe I am, I never would walk in and just shout "who's buffing?" Although I get your point that probably happens a lot. And I understand what you are saying. Let me just say what I was trying to say a little better. It would be nice if there was a way that that through the registry, or through some other means, it would be possible to know if there is actually someone there doing mind buffs. I will always use a person that is actually at the keyboard before using a buff bot, whether it is doctor buffs or mind buffs, I am just saying that it is very hard to find someone that is not a buff bot doing mind buffs, without travelling all over the place to do it. I have never played an entertainer and so I do not even pretend to understand what all goes into it. In other words what I am saying is that most people are looking for Mind Buffs and not just BF healing, and it would be nice to know before traveling to a cantina that the person that is registered there is actually there doing Buffs.
