this does work, i use it all night long and have been using it for ALONG time now...
Those of you who are having issues, try setting your launch pad options to windowed and borderless and try that, once SWG is loaded, press ALT/Enter to force full screen.
Also sometimes it will crash 3-5 times before it will start.

I have no problem getting two clients to run at the same time. However I loose the connetcion on the first client after a few minutes. I don't have a second account but have a Jedi that I would like to buff etc.
My PC: AMD 2800 1GB RAM GeForce fx 5900 and 512/128 connection

I have two accounts and have the file set up properly in in my programs folder.
The easiest way for me to play both accounts at once, was to create another WindowsXP account and run each of my toons from one of the XP accounts.
Hope this helps,

Will I not lose the connection to the web when I switch users ?

Hi everyone,
Just to add my experiences to this:
Modifying the CFG file worked for me in the past, brilliantly. This was within the same user account on Windows XP Pro, no problems with multiple instances or the like.
Then, it all went wrong, as the good things in life often do...
Something changed on my machine, and I now get a DirectX error - something along the lines of "DirectX could not initialize" ... sorry to be vague, but the exact wording escapes me.
I believe, and it is only a belief - that this could be down to either XP SP2, or new Video drivers. I have a Matrox Parhelia 128Mb graphics board.
Has anyone else seen a DirectX related problem?

I'm running 2 SWG accounts just fine with one user account on WinXP, SP2, behind a router. What I had to do was make sure the clients were both running in window mode. When I switch to full screen, the client left behind will shut down. Just make sure you've set window mode when you fire the client up before clicking Play.

I did as the origional instructions said. Worked with no issues and ran a lot faster than I thought it would.
I am running win xp pro sp2, directx 9c on a p4 3.0Ghz HT, 2 Gig DDR 400 Dual Channel Ram, BFG 6800 ultra OC.
Ran without any issues. And I am sat behind a router with firewall too.
