Cool. That will be handy.
But a question... why are some links in bold text while others are not?

You're neglecting to acknowledge it was Th that said he would be posting plans to the site and giving uf features and regular updates. there's nothing in teh CU post that meets what TH said he would do and there are CU features yet thought they were suppose to start before JTL was even released. Acting like we're from pleasantville isn't going to solve a thing either. Just give us what you said you'd give us thats it. We would be happy with a littel real information (not vague posts that say nothing) but keep in mind Th said he would provide the update, the plans and the features all we are asking is where are they?

/sigh. This back and forth is pointless... but...

Yes, I hereby formally acknowledge that TH said he would be posting some updates and info and it hasn't really happened yet. But you must keep in mind that development plans change all the time. That's why they never give us specific dates. Plans change. And some of the community throws a fit when a given time isn't met. There are others of us in the community that understand that even the best laid plans can fall apart, and things change. Developing is a dynamic job and it's very difficult to conform to a static timeline. Understanding, patience, and having fun with the many parts of the game that work properly are my formula for success.

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

lol, you are SOE's perfect customer. The rest of us like to call them on their BS when they lie to us, dont fulfill promises, or just plain fail to listen. They continuously fail to figure out that this game belongs to us now. We dont like it, we dont play, it dies. Its that simple. We arent the ones that lied. We arent the ones that failed to follow Lucas' vision. We arent the ones that made a fist better than a blaster. We arent the ones that made a hammer better thana lightsaber. We arent the ones that made fire (mind fire DoT) the most dreaded weapon in a galaxy of faster than light travel and beam weapons. But hey, if you want to sing their praises, knock yourself out. But patting people on the back for a job poorly done IS NOT very productive and accomplishes nothing. You have the right not tocomplain andkiss butt, but it doesnt mean you should.

Oh, yeah... I forgot there's nothing more to the game than PvP...

I'm not kissing butt, but if they didn't do a LOT of stuff right in this game, you probably wouldn't still be playing and you wouldn't be so passionate about it,now would you?

I'm giving respect where it is due, which is something most of the "never happy" community doesn't know the first thing about.

You also should not attack someone for saying they enjoy the game. I know there is a great deal of well-founded discontent, which is why the Devs are going through the whole Combat Upgrade thing and the loot revamp and everything else. I can guarantee you they are not BS'ing you about any of this, but it's on you whether you believe me or not. People want an excellent game and an excellent game takes time. As for the general lack of information being distributed is because they don't want people flipping out over a system that hasn't been totally fleshed out yet, something that will be done in the beta. As for how far along it is and the information the alpha testers and corrs know, I can't comment on but they've been working on it since Publish 9 so take a guess.

As for singing their praises, credit should definitely be given where credit is due. I've been playing WoW and enjoying many of its aspects, but it also makes me realize how good SWG is. And looking at SWG makes me realize how far MMOs have to go but rest assured, they are getting there, one step at a time.

I think this is easily the single most ridiculous friday feature I have ever seen. I enjoy this game, and the amazingly difficult work that has went into it. But this friday feature provided absolutely no information that I didn't have access to. Gave me no updates on the progress of the game, insights on features in the game I didn't know existed, or even make me think "wow that was pretty cool."

Dissapointed, I am.

Well go have fun then personally I want to PvP again so i need this information. I'm not a Jedi could care less about em i just want to be able to PvP again as a standard combat player. The CU holds the hope of whether i can look forward to playing this game in the future or if I will be forced to leave it. So yes i will rant, rave, yell, scream, cry, whine what ever anybody wants to call it until they start talking.Maybe one day soon they'll get the point if not you'll just have to continue to listen to people like me..... /emote hugs

I'm not sure what your policy is about this but many of the sites you listed in this article advertise buying SWG credits for real moneywith a 24/7 in-game delivery system. Did you realize this?

*Sigh* Must I go into rant mode again...

To the whining unhappy peeps groaning about the FF...

Do you all know what the term NDA means? Do you all know what 'In Development Means'? Do you know what 'we won't tell you anything too far in the future means because every time we do, and something changes, you all whine and moan and groan' means?

It means that no one is EVER happy about ANYTHING the Devs do. Mainly beacuse not everyone wants the same thing. Some people want content... so they put some people on content while they rework the combat system. Waaaaaa... we want combat upgrades not loot. Waaaa.... this time could have better been used in the combat upgrade. Waaaa.... I want a friday feature filled with information that will likely change before it ever gets published to me so I can hold it against you in a week.

TH,Tiggs and other Devs have stated time and time again that the CU will be developed with the help of a FOCUSED group of individuals (Correspondents and their 5 picks) for the first round, then moved into closed beta, then probably over to TC. These are most probably huge changes that you nor I have no ability to grasp at this time. Situation 1: they tell us everything they are doing, some people will cheer, some people will whine, some people will cry nerf. The masses get in the way of a fair and balanced development and hold back what with some focused refinement could be a great idea. Situation 2: they tell us everything they do and then some major change goes in that goes against one group or for another. People suddenly are outraged beause of the change, etc etc. Once again what is a normal part of the development cycle gets stalled, stonewalled, cried about by the community before it reaches MATURITY.

The Combat Upgrade needs time to MATURE. They have been working, in one form or another, more or less, for months now. How much is done, I have no clue. But I have a pretty good guess that it's not in a mature enough form for the masses to digest. When it is ready for more people to get a look at it THEN they will allow that. Till then sit down, take a shot of your favorite liquor and if you want to b*tich about something then find a new cause. There are lots of things they are telling us that could use some constructive critizism.

Ok.... that's all for now. 1-star at your pleasure, it's a cheap shot at someone telling you what you already know.

I wholeheartedly disagree. There needs to be SOME discussion with the client (i.e., the paying customers), and there has been zip to date. They did the same damn thing with the Jedi revamp. They did ALL the planningwith no player input, from March/April until it was published on TC2. By the time it gets developed to that level, it's too late for any of us to give meaningful input.

They discussed stuff with us pre-launch and pre-beta. Remember Outcasting? They interacted with their potential customer base for quite a while regarding this issue, and in the end, decided to scrap it. Sure, there were some unhappy people, but at least there was some discussion, and they laid out the reasons behind their decision to not implement Outcasting.

We, the customers, have not seen any design documents, plans, etc., as to what they have planned for this Combat Upgrade. Why? Are they afraid another company is going to steal their ideas (thus the NDA)?

WOW has given this game a proverbial kick in the teeth and sent SWG reeling. They need to do something, anything, to give those of us remaining some glimmer of hope.

Ok, so we get the message that we aren't going to hear anything more about the combat upgrade or other significant updates that may be in the pipeline until they are basically put to live. Even if i can accept that approach, I find it hard to understand why SOE doesn't take the time to do something a little more interesting to give us a reason to look forward to playing the game and future updates. I had expected to at least get shots and more info about the new Privateer two-seater. Thats on test center isn't it? c'mon! No NDA issues there.
