It's not about never being happy, I think, hope it's more about that fact that players want/need something to look forward to. There has got to be something that they are working on that's intersting and exciting that they could give us a tid bit on, even the server stat sheet FF where infomative and intersting, this FF is more like a Tuesday tip about where to find great fan sights.
It seems this new policy to never mention anything that they are not currently working on has created this feeling of notthing to look forward to, I know i know the CR/ upgrade is coming but we've been hearing that and looking forward to it for months and months. All I think people are saying is makes us excited about next month, next publish, instead of trying to get us hyped about the next 5-9 months when the Cu may or may not be done in that time. The message i'm getting here is well the CU will take less than a year but more than a month so in that time there is nottihng else coming to look forward too. I know this can't be true, and FF are a chance to prove it.
I love this game, and will deff be here another 12months but I still would like something to look forward to besides the ever promised,always delayed, CU.

And the laughs keep coming. SOE isnt real big on accountability to its paying customers, in case you hadnt noticed

The real sad part is that so many people choose to clog up the forums with completely useless posts like the one quoted above. Thanks, you're really helping the game or the community somehow.

LOL!!! I am sorry that is just funny.. Well it could be, I am sure there are many other things the devs could dream up. Maybe the next Friday Feature will be explaining what a Friday Feature is!

HEY thanks glad i could be on service, as long as I pay for the game you bet I'll speak out about it. anyway so what does acting like I'm happy and cheery over all this BS benefit? I Just want them to do as they said they would and start talking about the CU, thats to much to ask and i will continue to let them know I'm not happy until they do it.
I know next Friday feature will be about "how to eat your starter melon"

I really like how SOE refuses to document anything. They feel the need to rely on the community to document what it feels is necessary. Why has SOE not seen fit to hire a pack of rabid second-year Technical Writing majors to lay down the law on things like all the /ui commands? "Game experience may change during online play" is not a valid excuse. SOE's the one changing that experience, they should know better than anyone else WHAT changed, and DOCUMENT those changes.
Yet we're forced to search out 'guides' in the Game Guides forum, or rely on outside websites for things like that. I'm not saying SOE should write "users guides" for each profession, that probably IS better left to the community, but DOCUMENTING systems? That clearly ought to be in SOE's court. Prima can't keep up (even the updated JTL hintbook is already out of date), but SOE? You oughta be ashamed of yourselves.
Yes Tiggs, put this in your 'list of issues'. Bring it up at the next meeting. Nod politely when the core systems group gives you 'that look' that says "What, are you HIGH?" That's the look they've been giving the rest of us for well over a year now.

You know what? If they had posted a little scrap of information there would be plenty of unhappy people wanting to either know more, or wantingdifferent info, so go ahead and post your discontent, but I'm not so sure anyone would be any happier with a little info. Besides, they've given a little info already. Try here and here.

I never said you don't have the right to speak your mind about a game in which you pay fora service they provide you. But you are not paying that money for them to obey your requests for information or even for them to provide you great updates. You are paying to play the game.
They are working on it. Your complaints aren't very productive or morale boosting. Basically, they accomplish nothing. You have the right to complain, but that deons't mean you should.

You're neglecting to acknowledge it was Th that said he would be posting plans to the site and giving uf features and regular updates. there's nothing in teh CU post that meets what TH said he would do and there are CU features yet thought they were suppose to start before JTL was even released. Acting like we're from pleasantville isn't going to solve a thing either. Just give us what you said you'd give us thats it. We would be happy with a littel real information (not vague posts that say nothing) but keep in mind Th said he would provide the update, the plans and the features all we are asking is where are they?

lol, you are SOE's perfect customer. The rest of us like to call them on their BS when they lie to us, dont fulfill promises, or just plain fail to listen. They continuously fail to figure out that this game belongs to us now. We dont like it, we dont play, it dies. Its that simple. We arent the ones that lied. We arent the ones that failed to follow Lucas' vision. We arent the ones that made a fist better than a blaster. We arent the ones that made a hammer better thana lightsaber. We arent the ones that made fire (mind fire DoT) the most dreaded weapon in a galaxy of faster than light travel and beam weapons. But hey, if you want to sing their praises, knock yourself out. But patting people on the back for a job poorly done IS NOT very productive and accomplishes nothing. You have the right not tocomplain andkiss butt, but it doesnt mean you should.
