Yeah, I remember TH's name when it wasn't red. Heck, wasn't that back around the time of the Outcasting debates??
Geez, anyone still around long enough to remember those?
Outcasting, PvP, MCS, etc etc...
There are a bunch of us still around ![]()

Yeap, im still around.
I STILL think they should give Outcasting a try. Banning someone from PvP because they are being a horses rear end still appeals to me ![]()

Yeah, those were very interesting and unique concepts.
I always thought they'd work wonderfully with a small and mature player-base.
I'm not convinced it would have worked with the existing community...
And you're all trolling in this thread, lol!
There have been a few topics of discussion in here that I wanted to join in on, but thought better of it, lol.
Like the state of CH taming and growing pets for other people... I really think it's bad right now.
Pets should grow outside of combat as well. Perhaps increase their growth rate when used in combat, but allow a pet to fully grow within a few weeks of no-activity as well.
Thems are my thoughts... if you don't like em, send TH a PM! (Don't really!!)

anyone remember Leah4loot being banned from the beta forums for aggresively putting his point across about the state of PvP in the game, even back then. Hhehhe good times.
Oh man, do I remember L4l.
I used to get into the most vicious fights on the forums with him. The blood got over ankle deep back then fighting over PvP in the Forums.
So have you gotten in on the Second Great War of Gorath that's gone on this week?

Lately I've been on Starsider and Chili. I've also been lurking on Gorath, Bria and Kettemoor.

Hey TH, How do you get into a business/job like this? I mean, you weren't like a die hard gamer, you go to school? get a degree in what? Apply for what job? How or what made you directly interested in such a job? Just interested to see how it all works.
So I've been a die-hard gamer since Pong came out. I have psychology and computer science in my background, but really, this whole trip started for me when SWG began. I was a hard core community member from the beginning. I ran a fan site and camped the forums, helping folks, posting and the like and then the position opened up.
Bottom line, getting into the industry is all about what you can do and how you show it. The key is knowing what you want to do. Basically, you have to have a focus of Programming, Design, Art, Producing or Community. From there, learn the skills anyway you know how and do things. Program, design, make art or build communities. Love what you do and do it all the time.
Thanks TH for the response
Nope, but I am working on getting my Gorath toon to CL 80

Thanks TH for the responseIt's really encouraging to see that doing what you love really can play out. You say you spend a lot of time programming? Sometimes the idea of programming can be daunting or dull. As a dev, what do you find yourself doing a majority of the time on a work day? Sorry for the questions, just love hearing insights

So, I used to program...about a million years ago. Anything I do would be considered a light hobby at best. I'm a community guy by trade now
The folks I work with can code as fast as I can type and they really amaze me. Programmers and Designers always have their head buried in code or are in meetings talkiung about the next leg of development. Programming for them is enjoyable, but by no means gets dull. SWG is a very high paced environment.
As far as me? The community team is always working to solve issues. We work with CS, try to answer PMs and help players, get information out, write features and the like. We do a lot of reporting too. We pull info for bug reports, top issues, interact with the community, the correspondents and the devs.
Never a dull moment
THIS is a fascinating insight into your job environment. I admit I've been curious about it for a while. Thanks, TH!
