Nooooooooooooo!!! I find using Pistols is difficult because of their close range. Having root break on damage will severaly crimp a Pistoleers style.


i.e. If a Rifleman uses Stopping Shot to root someone, it's not that big a deal because the Rifleman is probably shooting at 65m. Pistoleers don't have that additional 30m advantage when roots break.

Any word on when you will do a tip on Knee shot from the rifileman tree. It does not stop or slow anyone down. And when it does work even tho it stuck it lasts a whole 5 secs.

Though I wouldn't go so far as to call for anyone getting fired, I will fullly back the notion that whoever it is that chooses the Tuesday Tips should NEVER do it again.


I don't care who it is, but when they openly describe how to successfully destroy a low level Jedi because of a faulty mechanic that the Devs have (oh, thank heaven for this) "raised the issueinternally", there's a BIG problem in Devland.


This game just keeps getting more surreal. Oh wait, I'm just staring at the cartoon people radiating from a TKM, nevermind.

At the end of the day...CU broke more than what it was supposed to fix...game is in shambles, pub 17 is a joke, and new vehicles are the last BS we players want with the thousands of bugs in this game. Zero communication from devs except "how to gank and grief people" tips. A jedi corespondant that is sitting in cancun drinking margeritas and polishing his corespondant title. Just payed for ROTW a couple of weeks and its nothing but a bunch of bugged quests, and incredible lag. Now all this...just an applause @ the whole dev team.

would a compromise be that the special itself (that being of a rooting attack) cannot be done unless you are within 30m? that lets some jedi stasis back and still lets a stand-alone pistoleer/pistol wielder have their special.

If you change the +Root+ effect, don't break it on damage, just limit it so that a person is invulnerable to it again for about 20 seconds or so after the first. I agree that 5 pistoleers being able to chain root someone sucks, but in One on One, it's a very useful tool.

1 on 1 is not the issue here...large pvp fights and jedi vs bh is. not your time spent dueling in sp.

As a low-level Jedi I have died twice to BHs because of rooting. I was rooted, and while I could not move they just pounded on me from a distance. There was nothing I could do about it for more than 30 seconds each time. Rooting = instance death? No way to recover or break from it? How on earth can anyone think that is fair?

In 1 on 1 its still an issue. Chain rooting should never be possible. I guess combat really isnt combat when the other guy is perm rooted 50m away getting head shots on them. real combat there boy.
