Shouldn't there be a timer on this to prevent repeat/chain attempts?

Now in a multi-player PvP situation, it is entirely possible for four pistoleers to "chain-root" a single opponent in combat, but hopefully that person brought along friends
This is the case for knockdown (a timer), and that's a state that can at least be recovered from.
Once rooted, we should be immune from +root+ a for a certain amount of time.
There have been discussions about giving the root a chance to break on damage, but nothing definitive yet.
Nooooooooooooo!!! I find using Pistols is difficult because of their close range. Having root break on damage will severaly crimp a Pistoleers style.
i.e. If a Rifleman uses Stopping Shot to root someone, it's not that big a deal because the Rifleman is probably shooting at 65m. Pistoleers don't have that additional 30m advantage when roots break.

This is not only a 5 BH vs 1 jedi problem...this goes deeeper than that...its about PvP in general and GCW. TH should get fired, and again I say that this proves they are completly out of touch with SWG mechanincs.
Though I wouldn't go so far as to call for anyone getting fired, I will fullly back the notion that whoever it is that chooses the Tuesday Tips should NEVER do it again.
I don't care who it is, but when they openly describe how to successfully destroy a low level Jedi because of a faulty mechanic that the Devs have (oh, thank heaven for this) "raised the issueinternally", there's a BIG problem in Devland.
This game just keeps getting more surreal. Oh wait, I'm just staring at the cartoon people radiating from a TKM, nevermind.

Unless they are a jedi and another friend is not allowed to attack, but five bounty hunters is just fine ....
You see the problem?
Sure do. We've raised the issue internally. We can'tget instant information regarding a resolution, but we can surely let you know when there is.
What a joke.
For today's Tuesday tip, here's a game mechanic that isn't working, and we know it. Of course we won't admit it until 90% of the responses to this thread point it out for us. Until then, we'll just end our sentences with cute emoticons to reinforce how out of touch we seem. ![]()

What's the matter, Master Bounty Hunter? Afraid you'll lose one of your abilities to be effective?
Get in line, pal - the Jedi are getting it now, you're next.
would a compromise be that the special itself (that being of a rooting attack) cannot be done unless you are within 30m? that lets some jedi stasis back and still lets a stand-alone pistoleer/pistol wielder have their special.
