I remember on the third or fourth day going out with a few guys I found wandering around Eisley in a dazehunting mynocks on tatooine (you don't think anyone could handle one of those super difficult 1k missions on their own, do you?).

After that we got attacked by some Valerians or desert demons or something, and managed to take them down. The one guy I decided to loot had...a CDEF carbine! Keep in mind up until then (day 3 after launch)it was EXTREMELY difficult to find ANY weapon besides the standard CDEF pistol. That's the ONLY time I had people gathered around me talking about how cool my CDEF loot was I was extremely stoked too

I also remember never taking the shuttle back then, even between cities...couldn't afford the 200 credit tickets...boy have times changed

I remember so well dying outside the Naboo area cantina.. Fighting Spinflaps but avoiding those "nasty" chubas.

Learning how to go prone and get "Good xp" off of Vynocks on Corellia.. As well as from Crazed Durnis.

I've still got a picture of a Carrion spat I killed with the help of Imperial Troops nearby, felt so proud...heh.

I remember going to a Wedding and being killed by the Rebels incoming.. Rancors scaring the crap outa me. Still don't know how I managed to be attack, wasn't overt or anything.. My CDEF was no match for their pets.

So many good memories of the beginning.. I swear I never went more than 2km from Theed the first month. Learned the ways of the game there though..heh, before moving away with what delivery money I got.

LOL. I remeber my first days on talus. I tried to step foot outside of town to get some resources and blam! LOL Decay mites took me and my sleemo slaying CDEF pistol.

I also remember my first encounter with an AT-ST. You know the pre nerf/nerf/nerf/nerf/nerf/nerf kind. LOL I wasn't a rebel or an imperial then. But some wookie wanted to start a group to get revenge on this thing for killing him. Eventually there was a group of six or so. Well I wasn't a rebel but I got to witness the carnage first hand. I figured if an army of wookies couldn't take one of those things out then I had better leave them alone. And when I choose and made my first selection into the rebel faction It was actually an accomplishment to take one down. It was usually acompanied by two weeks of gloating. Now they are made of little more than paper and not too many think twice of taking one down.

I also remember when camps were spots to sit and talk. And I remeber when the cantinas were filled with people who were entertainers cause they wanted to be and not because some little blue box told them so. You could actually sit and chat with people and not have to worry about the afk spam.

I also remember that for the first two months of the game I walked bettween dearic and nashal because I couldn't afford the ticket for a shuttle. And most of the friends I had made when we gathered together to slaughter tortaurs. LOL I had a DL-44 metal pistol, A DLT-20a rifle, and a DH-17 short carbine with a bearded jax (that I could then control) named bob.

And when will that stupid droid ever fix that terminal. I would have put a blaster bolt into it by now.

1. Spending hours trying to find light blue or green con creatures for experience.

2. Going out to do a mission, and being unable to find my way to a city.

3. Going out to do missions with my first real friend in the game. (Sadly, he disappeared after his second day of playing. Haven't seen him since. I kept his name in my friends list for months, hoping he'd come back. He never did...)

4. Running from around 90% of all the creatures on Tatooine. (It's funny to think about that, now that I can kill most of those with ease.)

5. Catching my first pet.

6. Fighting my first big creature (A kimogila. That was when they were everywhere.)

7. Seeing my first krayt dragon. (By Jabba's Palace. A few hundred meters from the entrance.)

Yeah. Bring back the memories. Me and my buddies were die hard Imperials and back during the day, the missions were bugged.. Yeah, a level 5 mission spawned a General. A level 15 mission spawned 1 Medic and 1 Comms Operator. That time we were still noobs and found out that the NPCs could not see thru he base. So we used the Line of Sight trick and destroyed the bases while NPCs just stood around like fools.

The best day was when we had the first probots. I still have it. The pre-nerf 3K HAM probot. My it was a great help. When the insta-heal bug was fixed, me and my buddy would go , "Ok, my bot on this mission and your bot on the next mission." And then a full 10-15mins break for our droids to regenerate. Funny.

The first time we met a familty of Kimos on LOK. We were all novices then. No master yet, we thought we could take em. And then we all died with our corpses camped by them kimos. Hilarious stuff.

This is a great post. I remember day 2 (the first real day) talking to the first NPC I saw, and he gave me a mission outside of town for 500cr. I got lucky and completed it not really knowing what I was doing. I had more money than most around then.

Those No Build Zones for tents. You never wanted to go so far out as was needed to get to a build zone.

I still remember the first day I ran from Tyrena to Coronet, and I saw my first Wind Generator. I was so amazed by something being so far out in the middle of nowhere. (now there are 4 cities inbetween those Tyrena and Coronet.)

Wow, page 3 and no one has mentioned gaining the ability to skip the logo splash screens when loading up?

For me, that was a SIGNIFIGANT improvement.

Here are some of my faves:

1: On the first day I arrived in mos eisley, it took a friend and I about 10 minutes to destroy a kreetle lair (I can now do it in one shot).

2: Running between Mos eisley and Mos espa when I couldn't afford the shuttle.

3: doing explorer recon missions which involved running a round trip of about 5k, then thinking I was rich when I got paid the 1200 creds for doing it.

4: actually being scared about crossing the desolate places of Tatooine on foot, and having to burst-run away from the Desert Demons.

5: the first time I ran through a herd of sleeping banthas at night causing them all to scatter (my god, it was just like really being there)

6: Hanging outside Mos eisley, trapping and killing anything that moved, in the name of EXP points.

7: sitting in my one-man camp and getting all excited when another player showed up and joined me

8: Thinking a scout blaster and a tusken rifle were UBER weapons.

9: going to Jabba's and recieving a STONE KNIFE for killing a tusken captain......a STONE KNIFE for god's sake!!!!!

10: Laughing as people tried to actually run onto the shuttle at the starport when it's door comes down.
