LOL. Good point, Easy. These memories don't go nearly far as back as my DAoC memories.

Still, for some reason 8 months feels like quite awhile ago this time around.

i remember the days of beta when every day Bria was down , and ialways bitched :HOW CAN WE BETA TEST IF WE CANT PLAY!" lol. i remember mastering marksman and thinking i was a bad ass, and i got pistoleer 2-1-1-0 and thinking i was EVEN more a bad ass. i remember a group of 20 getting PWNED by a dark adept on corellia and i was one of the 4 that survived it and looted NOTHING from it. the good days of pistoleer grinding on snorbals. and BEATING THE **edit** out of everything i saw with pistol whip....regardless if it was a krayt. i remember everyone and there mother getting pwned at the tuskin bunker on tatooine right outside jabbas palace. handling a rancor with novice CH and thinking that kimos where the badest thing in the galaxy. defending AH from imperials every day and dieing to a meatlump within the first 5 minutes I EVER logged in teh game during beta. i have so much more i could ran tabout but just can tthink of it atm....so with that ill go......

yeah I know, I think its cause so much has changed since release.Vehicles alone makes it a totally different experience now IMO. If I had had my swoop bike back when I started, woulda made life a lot easier needless to say .

One of my earlier memories consists of the first day Endor opened up... I remember this well because we all wanted to see and or kill those "little bears"... I'll cut to the chase and not go into elaborate details...

What do you get when you take a few groups of 20 people and one very angry "midget" on Endor the first day it opened?

A whole lota lag in the cloning center.

Looking back it was very funny, I remember laughing so hard I had tears rolling down my cheeks.

I just started paying to play SWG a couple months ago and I just started going to Endor about 2 weeks ago...which took alot of cohersing by my friends.

I also remember the little problem with the Triva Driod adding stuff to the banners...(have a few pics funny stuff)

Last thing (I could ramble forever) I remember the day they fixed The Shrub...a moment of silence please.

Oh wow. I remember I started in Moenia, and everything was dark and drab and swampy. The first night I played, I wandered into the cantina for a while. There were people talking and dancing and playing music. I was just soaking up the atmosphere. Suddenly, a firefight from outside made its way into the cantina. Two guys ran in shooting at each other. One killed the other, right in the middle of the cantina, then just ran right back out of the door again. Not a single person in the cantina even blinked, like it was all business as normal, and all I could think was, "**edit**, that is the most Star Warsy moment I have ever experienced....."

I remember when I got my first scout blaster. At the time they sold for around 3k credits. A reallygood guy, and friend, named Flick gave me one for free. I was so happy. I was so poor at the time.

My other early memory was trying to form groups in Dearic, Talus, (Kauri) to go paralope hunting. We were always trying to get money and scout xpand marksman xp and they were the easiest thing we could handle. We would stand at the mission terminals yelling for people to come join our group. I miss the simplicity of just hunting with my friends Esty and Aga.

My final early memory was the first time I saw a commando in action and an overtrebel with troop support. I was trying to do a paralope mission and there was a group of chunkers or pirates spawned right next to my paralope lair. I couldn't get near my mission and didn't feel like running all the way back to town. Luckily, two individuals crossed my path....Sarynn and Karask. They stopped and helped me. Sarynn was using a launcher pistol and I thought the graphics of it firing were amazing. They also had rebel marines with them. They cleaned out the chunkers/pirates and it allowed me to get to my paralope lair. I made a camp and the three of us became friends and sat around and just talked for a bit. They helped me because that is the kind of people they are...they wanted nothing from me. We are still friends today.

I have tried to be kind to some of the new players like people were kind to me. I hope I was able to make a lasting impression like my friends did for me.

- Running across Corellia doing Delivery Missions. I had no clue about shuttles. I would constantly run from Doaba Guerfel to Bela Vistal - dieing about 3 in 5 attempts.
- Being too scared to join a hunting party going to the Agrilat Swamp.
- Joining an "ewok slaughter" player event and spending most of my time running and/or incapped.
- Being in a 20 person party hunting snorbals on Lok and watching in awe as 20 people unloaded a torrent of fire on the poor critter.
- being helped by two people on dath who were trying to get a nightsister and a singing mountain clan witch to aggro each other. Without maskscent, It would take me 4-5 attempts just to get to the waypoint, and I didn't know about cloning until they told me. I had more black than color.

Seems almost pure and innocent to look back on it now.... /sigh

Great post. I remember:

1. Corpse run, died at a static tusken spawn. Have to ask my friends to lure them away so that I can get my corpse. Then my friends also got killed

2. Remembering two ppl having to take down a womp rat (Wyat if u see this, it's will bring a smile to your face) and having to lay down incap side by side while laughing our ass off. Also having to manuering our path away from the bocatts

3. Shuttles, remembering running up to ramp trying to get on the shuttles and having no tickets.

4. Making camps, keep encountering no built zones.

5. Running all the way to Wayfar

6. Going real slow up hills

7. Joining a group the first time around and having Zam (now Nyii) running way ahead of us and aggroing everything in her path

8. My first bone armor.

9. Having 1k credits and feeling real rich

10. Broke my cdef rifle

Ahh the memories. On the second day of the game being released I joined my first party and went to Fort Tusken. A guy named Diggity on Lowca new the loc from beta and we were probably the first people on Lowca to ever go there in the live release. Needless to say we got pretty beat up. Never attempted to even enter the cave under the fort, just fought the few Tuskens that spawned outside. I was 1 of 3 out of 17 that managed to survive the encounter and run back to Espa.

Changed severs a few days later and started in Dearic. I remember weeks later the first time I started soloing paralope lairs and thinking I was pretty tough.

I ran around in bone armor for months because it was all I could afford.

I remember setting up my old guilds first krayt hunt. Everyone thought I was insane or had big cajones to attempt it. When we got out there we all stood in amazement at a mob with 24K HAM.. but we managed to kill it and it was awesome. Now a 24K mob is laughable.

I remember me and a good friend I met in game would get together almost nightly outside of Dearic and go hunting for Tortors. At the time they were the coolest thing to me to kill because of the way the screen shakes.

I remember everyone used to hang out in the bank area and there would always be someone questioning why someone was kneeling and water would come splashing out of the ground...

I remember the first time I walked into the Mos Eisly cantina and heard that familiar music. Probably the most immersed into Star Wars I have been in game.

I remember when there was actually people in the cities of Talus and some of the other main cities of the game.......

I think my best 'early' memory of the game was on the second or third day of release, when everyone still had CDEF Rifles, Pistols, and Carbines... There were two or three groups of 15-20 players outside Mos Eisley killing Greater Womp Rats and Dewbacks. God, even with that many players, it took ages to take just one out... I think we stayed there fighting for about three hours.

I also remember my first PvP duel... I never knew it was possible to die so quickly.

I spent my first two months of gameplay entirely on Tatooine (Mos Eisley and Mos Entha), and one day I decided I wanted to get off that dustball of a planet, so I bought a ticket to Kaadara. I remember being completely and utterly amazed at Naboo. I wasn't used to seeing grass and flowers and trees... I was floored. I still am at times, really.

I remember wandering outside of Dearic after just logging on for the first time, before I'd done a mission or even met anyone else. When I saw that big dead log sticking out of the ground, I noticed that I could target it with my gun. And that's the tale of free clone #1.

Then there was the time I met my best friends (and current guildies) for the first time in the now-defunct Tyrena cantina. Complete strangers, we were recruited from the crowd help with a mission that, after an arduous trek, turned out to be an empty waypoint! Hehe. From there we became the most effective and most fungroup I'd ever hunted with, and we've been together ever since.

Oh, and how can I ever forget the days dancing in the Dearic cantina. Too many memories to recount...

Wow, how can 8 months feel so long ago?
