I map Autorun to my mousewheel button. I also mapped /examine to the numpad Enter key...

But does anybody know a way to REMOVE the binding the alt key from the "Toggle Mouse Mode"?
I have alot of things mapped to different alt-(key) combinations and everytime I hit "alt" it switches mouse mode. I have it mapped to alt and middle click, but if I try to remove the alt key mapping it tells me that I can't do that.
A side tip from this... map those "/find" commands to some keys! Example... I have:
/find clear = alt-q
/find starport = alt-w
/find shuttleport = alt-e
/find cantina = alt-r
etc...

I've been playing for 10 months now and never tried/heard of this. This rivals '/bo trans' as best tip ever! I can't wait to remap it!

You should be able to go to the Toggle Mouse Mode binding in keymap and click the Clear Binding button. Then bind Toggle Mouse Mode to whatever key/button/combo you want.
Tried this... It only says that you can't unmap toggle mouse mode.

Hmm, I didn't realize it was a special case key binding that couldn't be changed. Unfortunate

I have remapped this key to the wheel ever since day 1 in Beta.. thats original beta
. My also MUST remap is to put the auto-run to my right mouse button. It was not fun having to keep the button pressed to run, so changing it to how numlock worked (toggle) was much better.

Would be even better if the Dev's put in a visual indicator in the ticket room indicating if the transport is on the ground and if not how long it will be....... (hint hint!!).

You should be able to re-map it to something, even if it is just the ALT key again. You just can't leave it empty.
Doesn't seem to work.
Not at home right now, so this is from memory, but I add middle click to the binding then bring up the binding list, remove the alt key (leaving just middle click) and click ok. I get an error message at that point.
Interesting thing is, when I first re-mapped this in July of last year, all was well. I just recently had to redo the mapping and it won't work now.

This is my first attempt to give a tip, so it's probably really useless and you all know it anyway
...
If for some reason you're walking up a hill - for the scenery or something (yeah, I'm sad) then walking at an angle up the slope seems to make you go a wee bit faster.
...Sorry.

ya, but going one of the angles makes you go slower, so just fiddle with it
