My large plant is finally starting to produce fruit, seems to be about 1 every 3 days. Most of the time it was "slow" growth, but I have been trying to systematically adjust the settings to get better growth, and I thought I would mention one thing I have noticed, at least true for my plant.
Once I found a "slow/very slow" area, I tried changing WL or NL to get a better rate of growth, and everything I did resulted in wilt. What I eventually found out was that VERY slight changes in the WL/NL cause can cause BIG changes int growth rate. Sometimes just changing one of the levels one notch (not even enough to change the message) can move the growth rate a lot. The plant is VERY sensitive.
The point is, once you find a setting where you have at least very slow growth, try moving the settings just tiny amounts, and be sure to wait 3 hours or so after each change.

What stats/type of water and nutrients are you using? Does this affect growth rate? I also have a "slow/very slow" large plant that wilts if I am not spot on. Any single deviation from Very Wet a and Low b causes it to go from "slow" to "very slow" and one more notch causes it to wilt.

it seems my plant, and maybe others plants were borked yesterday....it is back to growing at its old rate at its old settings, go figure.

Abilla, sorry I can't remember stats on the water/nutrients. Actually I use several different types, just whatever I happen to have on hand at the time (I have several characters messing with it). I certainly could be wrong about this, but I doubt that the stats have too much to do with anything, except *maybe* how long it lasts (how often it has to be renewed).
It also seems to me that the plant gets weird just before it drops a fruit, then goes back to usual behavior. Could be just coincidence though, happening just when the levels change or something.
I'm still playing around a little with the settings. I occasionally get it to flicker to "above normal" growth rate, but that's the best I have gotten so far. I rather doubt that it really matters, as far as how often the fruits grow, but I will try a while longer anyway just out of curiousity.

I've read through most of these pages.. all very good info.. but i do have a question.
Did anyone else's plant spawn a new plant? One day I went into my guild hall and decided to pick up the plant (since it pauses its growth in your inventory). and low and behold another plant was in the EXACT same place. so now I have2
this happen to anyone else?

Aplogies for the lack of updates, but the JtL lag has been really testing the limits of my patience.

That is very interesting. What level of growth was it at? This could be a dupe bug related to the plant changing.
My cantina plant has been changing a lot, it uses nutrient and water two or three times a day (depending on if the cantina is in use overnight). I have discoverd that at large the plant is very sensitive to quality of food. If the food is not very good condition then you get a very narrow band of growth - too narrow to sustain.
I took out all water and nutrient then filled up with decent stuff (950 decay and OQ - the organic has about 700 PE as well). With poor resources if I adjusted the nutrient level by one notch it wilted - that meant I had to top it up just before it used nutrient. With decent resources I have a band of 3 notches to play with and the level goes up to slow, there may be even more leaway.

Well, my plant finally went to medium. I had basically given up on it and hadn't checked on it for several days, just spent all my time in the JtL beta. For a couple of days prior to that, I messed around with changing settings to see if I could get more than very slow growth (I never did). So I have no idea what changed to make it evolve, or whether it just finally finished up its timer, or what.
So now I have the medium, perfect condition, and, of course, very slow growth at current settings. I'm going to play with the settings again and see if I can get better than very slow.

Anyone know the time period between fruit drops for a large plant on V slow growth rate?

I have come to the assumption that the stats of the resource used in addition with the level set on the plant's radial will result in a hidden value, which must be in that particular plant's tolerance range in order to grow.
If you keep the plant at the same level that seems to work all the way through a stage, that level should be different if the resource stats are different. And since each plant is entirely different, using the first post in this thread as a reference has got my plant to begin dying on the beginning of Stage3. From this, I can only put down to resource differences, and/or differences from plant to plant.

We have had our plant for a good month and a half or a little longer
it has been doing perfectly okay as a large aurillian plant, just seems to grow slow and cant get that any higher, though all else looks great
have had three peices of fruit from it
we keep it at
Health : Perfect condition
Fruit : 1
Growth Rate : slow
water level : below normal
nutrient level : above normal
if we keep it exactlly this way it gows...slow...but it grows and doesnt wilt or change at all, bears fruit eventually
good combo we have been useing for a month now, though i would pass it along
oh yea we alos use (berries for nutrient) and
(Kaostone water)
