Thread: Star Wars Names: The Name Doctor is IN!
I first happened on this thread when there was only 5 pages in it. I thought to myself..."It's a really neat thread, but it's sure to end soon. There's no way this Riis guy can keep this up".
Well, here's hoping you do at least one more page...
Shamgarr -- Wookiee Commando
Xsao -- His Rodian, Bounty Hunter friend
---
Wingus Rhaz'mtazz -- Human Entertainer/Doctor
Dingus Rhaz'mtazz -- his musical brother.
Thanks for this vastly entertaining thread!
thanks for the critique on my name man..
and i didnt expect for the backwards name to slip past you since you are the expert lol
but believe it or not i have only run across maybe three people who got it with out me explaining it to them ![]()
/hatsoff to you.. you are the Pro at this lol
love the post by the way, hope it stays on top for weeks more to come
This is the best post I've seen in a while!
How about my Trandoshan - Kharr Khomak
Thanks.
Glad you liked the name Riis, I was going for a name that people would remember. I think the awkwardness plays into it a bit. Thanks for the great post.
Sonan Darmax
Zilrion Hazzardous
Zabrak Male
Pistoleer...Droid Engineer...and chef
My name is Rarex Nilop. I am a male, human pistoleer. What can you make of my why my parents named me like this????
Rarex Nilop
Tatooine
Here's a smattering of names (10) from Page 17. Hopefully I can do more tonight.
Crenago Seipties
Well, from a sound standpoint, it's fine. It'll do as a Zabrak name.
Woden Xezzon
Woden, eh? Well, mythological figures are not really the best bets for inclusion in another culture's myths (which is the intent of Star Wars), but I give you credit for trying. Xezzon is a little too "X" and "z" for me...perhaps we can keep the "x" and replace the "z"s: Xesson. Much better in my eyes.
Ki-Wi Agua-Melonne
Woo, another super hyphenated name. I guess the first name would be fine (though a little fruity), especially for a human (less so for your chosen species), but the "watermelon" thing you have going in the last name is over the line. You can protest melon nerfage elsewhere
.
Kerzor Eversin
Good name. I'll support this for a Zabrak, but feel it could be a little too human.
"Dunno if you picket it up from pages and pages back...but Duo Maxwell is a Gundam Wing (anime) character and that "Luckdragon" namescreamed of The NeverEnding Story."
One of the hazards of my position is that I WILL miss various references. I am not an Anime fan (nobody's perfect, I know) so some of those will slip past me (but not all...I have a good memory, and have seen a fair amount of anime under duress). The Luckdragon thing is noted. I did catch this one, but didn't want to bring that movie up. I loved it as a kid, but looking at it now...well, the movie was a product of it's times.
Veritanil Ovak
Well, one name thing, like you said, but I have another solution. The first name is an Old Corellian word for "Truthspeaker" and is a nickname/title conferred on him for his, well, extreme honesty. His Calamari name is Ovak. Problem solved.
Nerire E'Nel
Star Wars Galaxies needs more families. You should find this person and come up with a little background, just for kicks. The name works fine, though the first name could use a little tightening up, in what direction I am unsure, but maybe shortened to Nerir, or Nerirel. I like the random last name.
Ecco Rhe'yka
Do I know the first name reference, well, depends on what reference! European Cannibis Consumers Organization?
The Latin word lends itself to many things, I see! The last name is a good Bothan name.
Abarri
A little too clean sounding for a Wookiee name, but it beats Chewintabacca. Maybe some lengthening will make it even better.
Cybel
Go with the stage name thing, in which case, make sure you play up the "Sybil" thing.
Khendeth L'indarra
I think you have good enough instincts for a good sounding name. In reality, for humans, the Star Wars universe is a very large one for appropriate names. If I do this for Middle Earth Online, I won't be able to be nearly so accomodating.
That being said, the name tends toward the French in the last name, but it looks like you weren't intending this. I really like the first name.
Unfortunately, the weekend, she calls me. I will try to do some more Page 17 names tonight, and see where we go from there.
