Thread: Star Wars Names: The Name Doctor is IN!
OK, I'll throw mine in. A simple Wookie name, Rosno. Yes, it was generated for me...
Oh, and I saw this on one of the early pages, and thought I would point it out -- someone may already have pointed it out, I don't have time to read all 18 pages... Houyhnhnms were the rational talking horses from book 4 of Gulliver's Travels. They're the ones who kept the Yahoos as slaves. BTW, it's pronounced whin-um, not houy-h-nim.
Tian Lung
Zabrak Tailor/Armorsmith/Teras Kasi
Still working on a backstory, I'm a little lazy with that type of stuff. He lives on Corellia though. Too asian sounding probably and he looks asian too so I guess it would be better if he were human.
Name: Viggo
Intended Profession: Smuggler
I wanted to create arough characterand the name seemed to fit.To bad smuggling is absolutely no fun right now, I dont even slice or make spice anymore. I got the name from the actor that plays Aragon on the Lord of the Rings Trilogy (Viggo Mortenson), which may lose me some points. Funny thing is that someone thought I got the name from Ghostbusters II.The villian thats in the haunted painting is named Viggo.
Bothan Bounty Hunter - Rila Ba'yka
Typical bounty hunter in most respects, tends to be apathetic and manipulative in typical Bothan style, but can become excited when a trying to track down an elusive bounty, more interested in the hunt then the final showdown. Holds a weakness for corellian cuisine and Ryloth born alchoholic drinks.
Sounds like this could be interesting. Here goes

That being said, well, it's continuity breaking as hell for me, considering Beowulf is one of my heroes, but I'll grant you few people actually watched "13th Warrior" and even less _Eaters_, and even less the original _Beowulf_.RbT
I have a Gnarled Rancor named Grendel and a Greater Sludge Panther named Beowulf
Thanks alot for your opinion, Riis. It meant a great deal to me. I was worried that the name I chosewas a bit "off". You were correct about the last name. It was not intended to be french, but rather something I thoughtwould starwarsify it. Unfortunately, I didn't conciderrace to be a factor here as I chose ahuman character. If I had, I would 've most likely removed the ' in L'indarra. Oh well... Maybe I should reada biton thetopic, and develope a proper background for the character. Could be worth a shot atleast ![]()
And Riis. You're doing an invaluable service here. And it's nice to see some dedication and genuine interest for the topic. Keep up the good work!
Ya'll have a good one out there!
Cheers.
