Leave the poor guy alone. Do you think he is holding info back?! He collects our info (which doesn't mean he has to chime into ever flame-bait thread) and gives it to the appropriate channels. If he has NO INFO to give back to his community, why is he to blame? Would you like him to just makefake stuff up for you to put in your Jar-Jar Binks Trapper Keeper?
Oh Man... I hope I eat these words now. Come Jar-Jar Binks Trapper Keeper, I've been waiting to use you. Please let this be a fake post, please let this be a fake post, please let this be a fake post...

What you need to remember is we are not asking for the belts to continue to take AA's. We are asking ot have them converted to clothing like the other items.
I know what you're asking for, and from one perspective, I agree it should be done. however, I'm trying to show you why SOE might be reluctant to do this.
First off, as you said, those attachments are rare in the form of CAs. Thus, converting them and allowing them to work would give current Jedi a big boost over new Jedi. Because if those attachments convert over, the old Jedi will have the melee speed tapes that came from an AA that a new Jedi can't get. An old Jedi will actually find it easier to max out speed and accuracy because they'll have the big attachments from the AAs plus smaller attachmetns from the CAs-- both used on a single item.
Secondly is because Armor belts were always classified as armor, pre-cu. You could only put armor attachments into them, and they hindered your secondary stats. Post-CU, they still took only AAs, but a bugged system allowed non-certed people to wear them. Taking advantage of that bug could (theoretically) be considered exploiting by SOE. If it's viewed as exploiting, do you really feal they should be rewarded by having those item converted? In SOEs eyes, they don't.
Again, I'm simply telling you WHY it's unlikely to happen, I'm not stating my personal stance.
I accept the decision but I fail to see the reason why it's so unbalanced. The common theme from non-Jedi and some Jedi seems to be, you shouldn't be allowed to use AA's. My question is, what is so unbalancing about that? Personally I have a +25 speed CA in my gloves, anyone care to explain to me why my +25 CA is perfectly balanced but a +25 AA is suddenly so unbalancing that it must be taken away at all costs? I have no reason to push for this change at this point. Seriously intrested in what is so unbalancing about a person using a +25 AA instead of a +25 CA.
Seems to me the people who are saying Jedi were exploiting are Jedi haters (obviously we have a lot of those) and Jedi who are jealous/too broke (even though they won't admit it)to purchase their own SEA's. It's a shame the game has come to this, Nerf that person because I don't have it.Oh well, just keep this one statement in mind for those Jedi saying this nerf needed to happen....what goes around comes around. If you think your equipment/skills are safe from nerf calls, just give it a few weeks. Just don't expect a lot of the Jedi feeling this nerf to come to the defense.......some people only have so much fight in them.

Sadly what will happen next will be jedi screaming for nerfs to jedi that happen to have good pearls

Well I've read multiple posts by "younger" Jedi saying if pearls don't ever drop again they want all the old Jedi's nerfed to their level.
I would have laughed but it's questionable if the devs would take them seriously.

Baciacca, is this the word from the Devs? after tiggs said she would file a bug repport on the belt, is this the response they came back with?
Yes, Tiggs responded to one of our posts and stated that belts will stay as Armor.
Oh and for the record, the majority of Jedi that I know in game say they used the belt not because of AA's, it was because it had ZERO condition. It was like having an ADK on their belt for free. So saying people were trying to "exploit" the situation with AA's is not actually completely factual, if anything what led most Jedi to choose that belt over any other belt was the zero condition. But as it stands now who cares anymore lol.
