A non-jedi server is not only an excellent idea, it's extremely necessary. There is a significant portion of the player base with no interest in jedi, who do not want to have to use jedi to survive in pvp or loot anything in loot areas. I have submitted suggestions to SOE and asked friends to find out if they are interested, and i can tell you right now that i would give up every item, every credit, every skillbox, and everything else i own on both accounts on this game to finally be able to play without worrying about being one-upped by overpowered characters that don't belong here in the first place. Just seeing them ticks me off.

I would join a non-jedi server, not just because of the star wars timeline and the fact that there shouldnt be jedi running around. But also that the hologrinding has ruined the economy of most of the servers. Without the prospect of becoming a jedi there would have been no hologrinding and then the economy would not have been ruined for people with no jedi interests. And then there is the affect on PvP that jedi are going to have, no one having any defence to them wth armour at the mo. So i would join a no-jedi server.

Sort of like a perium server. Where you pay say 3 dollars more a month ot play on it. But theres more CSRs dedciated to that one server. NO jedi. And if someone greifs another player we get instant responses for the most part.

**raises hand** I know it won't happen, but some people can drem right?
Not sayiing the game needs to be jedi free. . . but one jedi free server would be kinda nice to go overt with only normall caution, rather than paranoia
Again, I'm fine with jedi. I even help jedi, just ask around on my server.

I think this is something I'd actually pay the $30 to transfer my character too. I just don't believe this is the way I originally pictured this game going and how the jedi were going to be "rare" in my eyes.

Kudos scott... I'd be the first to transfer my account to a non jedi server.
I'd miss a few of my RL buddies that unlocked, but there certainly should be no visible jedi in this time period of Star Wars.
There's supposedly more jedi on my server than any other 90% of which are zabrak with names like SecretSquirrel and Cypher-dyas *morons* I would change to a no jedi server so fast it would make your head spin.
What bothers me the most though is that the jedi player base are easily the LEAST TRUSTWORTHY people on my server. They represent the powerplayers. If you were going to give admin to a complete stranger to your home on Corbantis I can safely say that one of the last people you'd give access to is one of our jedi.
So sad.

I wish. I'm not sure if anyone else said this.. but if SOE made a non jedi server they would make a ton of money off this server move thing. Because TONS of people would go to that galaxy.

I'd consider it- I'd at least play there. I don't think it will happen, however; not because of individuals not being interested, but because it would involve a great deal of re-coding to do it. They'd have to remove the village, all of the new "force sensitive" content they're adding, re-write NPC dialogue, etc. I don't think SOE would get much bang for their buck in introducing such a thing.

My sig says it all. Not many people understand what a non-jedi server means. people who say "won't happen jedi's make too much money for SOE" don't know what they are saying. All people want is one server without the jedi system on it. it can be a new server. new players won't be turned away because suddenly they can't be jedi like they thought cuz there will still be 25 servers that allow jedi. so SOE looses no money. Whatsmore is they make enough angry customers happy by offering such a server and preventing a few potential cancelled accounts.
People who argue, "well there's realy only a handful of jedi as it is anyway, they can't really affect the game that much" don't know what they are talking about either. cuz for every 1 jedi you can bet there are hundreds more who are grinding for jedi. Sure the system has changed now, but still a large number of players on any server are playing to unlock their jedi which in turn affects the economy and the play style of those players who don't want to play a jedi.
This doesn't affect players who want to be jedi in any way, nor does it affect players who don't care about jedi.

How about an ALL JEDI server?
Or a NON Smacktard server?
Now THAT would be real heaven.
