Thread: How many people would really prefer a no-Jedi server?
Increase BH mission payouts to a worthwhile sum (like 300k per Jedi) and fix saber block, because it's a broken skill. And you won't see that much Jedi anyway.
I was surprised to find this thread and I think it should started as a petition/plea in a more appropriate forum.
I would definitely pay $30 to transfer to this new server even if it meant losing all my gear and money, player cities, etc... for the short term.
I fall into the category of 'unlocked' and gave my Jedi-containing account away about 2 weeks ago.
When I first began playing SWG, my only experience with StarWars has been the movies. I have become a fan and have begun roleplaying my characters and have read a lot of the books now in my free time. I don't feel having Jedi in the timeline is correct and the last publish which drew Jedi out of hiding ruined whatever StarWars feel of a hunted character I had.
I would love to play on a server where I had no contact with Jedi.
It would be nice to be on a server where the economy did not revolve around grinding jedi xp.
Please start this as a petition in 'In Concept' or whatever forum would be more appropriate than 'Game Guides'.
I may go do it myself.

No reason anything else has to be different. Probly about 6 lines of code to change... TC1 and 2 run with different code than live, so it can't be all that hard.
It wouldn't even be that complicated. all they would have to do is intentionally "break" the jedi system on that server. Just break whatever event it is that triggers the visit from "the old man". You can't get the people in the village to talk to you without first getting the old man to visit you. the current new theory is that you need to collect badges to get him to notice you. So on one new server, set it so that the requirement to get the old man to visit you is to get a "Prof: mastered Jedi" badge. It's a catch 22 system. You can't get a mastered jedi badge without having gone thru the quests already, and you cant get thru the quests without having mastered jedi. I know there is no "master jedi" badge, but one could easily be created secretly for this purpose.
The village with all the NPC's can still be there, but they just won't do anything.
(to future posters, please refrain from responding to the above post from Vikassi, It won't do anyone any good)

Great! Can we also have a non TKM server too? Are you guys kidding me? Stop your whining.....Did your mommys forget to tell you that when you were younger? Its a game dude......Theres war in Iraq right now.....Do you think the little kid who just lost his mommy and daddy gives a flying BEEP about your non jedi server? Get with it dudes....Stop your crying....
Vikassi,
I happen to be a decorated combat veteran of the Iraq war myself, and I have several friends who are still over there as I type this, and so I bet I am more qualified to answer your question than you are to ask it:
Yes, we are fighting in Iraq, and yes we want a no-jedi server.
I have to add though that I'm pleased to know that people from this forum are aware that Americans are still dying daily in Iraq. But Vikassi, you don't know what you're talking about. This forum and our games and everything else we do is WHY those men are over there dying every day. They don't want us to sit here and cry for them, they want us to live our lives how we want, that's the whole point in the first place dude. I'm not over there anymore, but I can tell you exactly what's on their minds: getting back here to do exactly what we're doing, playing games and having fun.
