This isn't even TH's fault. I happened to be eavesdropping on the conversation that happened this morning at SOE headquarters...

Thunderheart: Hey boss, what do you have for me today?

Higher-Up: Well, we've got plenty of combat balance material, but I think it's time for some new wallpaper.

Thunderheart: Uh, You don't really expect me to write a Friday Feature about wallpaper, do you? They're gonna chew me up out there!

Higher-Up: You wouldn't want to end up like your friend Q-3PO, would you? (Points to Raph Koster, frozen in carbonite)

I'm not playing this game of "piss me off one week, promise me something's coming next week, piss me off next week when nothing shows up, hope for some informationthrough a 3rd party." Let's just cut to the chase, and have someone inform the Entertainers about what the heck is going on, please. Thank you.



Replace Musician/Entertainer with Smuggler/Ranger/Squad Leader/etc and it still reads the same. We are all feeling the same way...not good SOE not good at all....

Wow... for the first time ever I feel compelled to post on a Friday Feature thread.

Why? Because this has NO PLACE in a Friday 'Feature'. Sure, add it to the website as a nicety for people to download.

The players of this game need information. You'd do far better by disseminating USEFUL information that will aid people's gaming experiences instead of this kind of 'give the kid a sweety'.

*shakes head*

After seeing all the positive ways in which the game is going, I have to say that quite frankly I am disappointed.

TH, you've had this community eating out of the palm of your hand for some time now, and out the bag suddenly you pull this "stunt".They're not even that good a wallpaper as many have pointed out. Don't revert back to your early days now, as evident by the topics that you started, filled with nothing but pages upon pages of malice and hate.

the funny thing about the wallpapers is that the top one which features the SDs and the big fight, JTL isnt exactly like that not a good representation

While there may be some truth to that, and not meaning to troll/flame, I would suggest a 3.4% marketshare would make them think otherwise. Also, a lack of reported subscribers in some time would suggest a decline. Couple that with the recent (multiple) patches, and I'm lead to believe that they realize there is a problem, and are working toward correcting it to keep/add userbase.

They could wash their hands of the whole thing and be content with the profit they've made in the last couple of years, or continue to improve and make substantially more profit over the next several years. Which business model do you think works best?
