If it's mouse clicks, I can see how that would play in to the whole thing about a casual player taking about a year... But then I look at it and think "Mouse clicks?!" Hrm, it's gotta be something we're missing...

I don’t think you can really become a Jedi in this game. Its all a big trick to keep usplaying. They tell us that if you want to be a Jedi you have to do certain thing so we try every thing we can think of and even if we get board of the game we still play in the hopes of getting a FS guy and it becoming fun again.

Man I'm pretty sad...I wanna play a Jedi so badly, but I'm a friggin musician...what the hell could a Jedi musician do??

And I'm not into doing the quests in game so I PRAY it['s not quest pased.

Man...it's way too hard to learn the force, I don't wanna have to run around giving discs to Jawas or getting plans from Rodians day in and day out to become a Jedi, doing little "take this the here and then take that to there" gets boring...FAST.

personally, I was thinking it could be that each character slot available has a certain percentage chance on becoming an FS.... so, like when you create a character, it rolls a random percentage, and if it's within a certain amount you get the FS slot.... I'd think if it was done that way that the percentage would be incredibly small though..... especially given the timeline of the game..... there weren't very many jedi running around during the civil war...

Anyway, that's just an idea, and probably not the correct on either.. haha

Seraph,

Yeah that is a thought. But just like I mentioned before (Not that I am the FS guru) I don't think that the Devs would limit the ability of a player opening a Jedi character to chance. Mainly because there are those that want to play a Jedi and there are those that don't. So, we should have some choice. The choice though could be that the ones that unlock the slot will have to work extremely hard to do so and the ones that do not, won't work hard at that particular thing. So, that is how I think it will work. It just doesn't make sense for it to be a random occurence. Especially when it is possibly the main reason that probably 1/3 of this game community is playing.

Still though, I think it is extremely important that there not become a ton of Jedi. But the way they monitor the number is by the perma death. When you unlock a FS slot, that doesn't mean you are all of a sudden a Jedi. You aren't! You have to train up normally, the only bonus is that you are force sensitive. So technically you'll still suck bad until you get higher up in the skill trees. When you start getting higher you will probably die and have to start over. =) So I don't think we'll have to worry about it. They said earlier that if they developed the game right, it will be extrememly difficult for anyone to even reach Padawan level within the first 6 months. =0

I definitely think it doesn't have to do with character behavior. I would take a guess and say a certain string of things in a row, or completing multiple things.

here's an idea - if it IS different for each char, but not entirely... why don't we all keep a journal in MSWORD about our char - just stupid stuff like how long after creation we got house, skillprogression and missions - it might pay off ~ just a stupid suggestion ~i'll b making alot of them since i just bought the game and found out i don't have a good enough vid card!!! - g'bye free month

I think it's different for each species. why? just as Crimson_Sunrise got a broken holocron from a NPC. I got 1of3 data disks for the plans to a death star, and i was a bothan. i'm pretty sure the bothan's got the plans for the 1st one in the movies. i don't know what species Crimson_Sunrise was, but the thing his race gets might cooralate to them in the movies. hmmm. what do you guys think?
