Its OK. Gifts are to be valued when you recieve one, and not something that are expected.

I was wondering if anyone here knows if this is the only gift that we get this year. I mean two of the things were out last year and then some get lucky and get one of the new paintings.
Well what if I got an orb but still got mine from last christmas. Would that be equal to getting coal in my stocking? Or will we log in christmas morning and have a present in our inventory. Last year we all got holos plus the wookiee life day gifts.
Not that anyone knows yet but rumors are alwyas something to think about when you have a long day of work to do yet...

Sorry, but there will be no "automatic" Christmas gift this year.

TH, we loves ya but MMORPG demands something more tangible to commemorate this season in our lives.

How about giving everyone with JTL a pair of fuzzy dice that we can hang in our cockpits?

TH please tell me you are joking? With all that we've been through this year we get nothing to thank us for our loyalty?

Other games have celebrated different real life holidays in game with gifts, quests, speical appearances. I think SWG shouldmake our experience as fun as possible because it's not like we've been receieving a lot of ground content, or any content other than the recently mentioned Wookie Day of Life.

Sorry, but no hinting. I alwayswork to be as literal as possible.

The only holiday event are the LIfe Day events, but I encourage everyone to check them out. There is a robe, paintings, and the orb that players can get.

Thanx for replying T. Never can please everyone all the time. I know that I would hate to try and deal with that. The lifeday was the deal and I really like the paintings, but I am a collector.

I think the best christmas present anyone here can ask fo if you guys chase down that pesky CTD problem that has been around as of late.

Last year if i remember correctly everyone was given a holocron, which was one of the major reasons the economy went to downunder for lack of a better word, Is that one of the reasons were not going to get a similar gift?

WAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean come on you did it last year, so people expected it this year. You did life day last year so people expected it this year. If you guys weren't going to give us anything for the holidays then you should have mentioned it much earlier than december 18th. This is annoying, everyone I know had there hopes up for all different kinds of things, but all would accept whatever they were given. It is one thing to give and another to receive, yet it is a whole different thing to expect and then to be shot down a week before.

This is a sad sad holiday gesture.

Gee, ya think?

Once burned, twice shy... holocrons were an experiment with some nasty side effects, and just giving away life day orbs last year led to a lot of mayors just selling them (so totally not cool). So the team put this together, so you can do something, which isn't all that hard to do, and get a gift, which is actually pretty cool.

I doubt they'll ever give something away as a gift that has potentially game-changing effects ever again; they learned that lesson the hard, ugly way.

adding content like the wookie quest is far better than having a painting or item put in your inventory cause atleast the content gives somthing to do were the gift its a case of stick it in your house some were as a decoration and there's your gift gone.

[edit] the wookies quest is safe? not when you gota go to dath and get hit off your bike by somthing using a lightening attack.
