Thread: Tuesday Tips September 30th
This tip has been given before but I'd like to emphasize it again. Write a bio! Whenever you are sitting in camp or waiting on a shuttle just pop open this screen and add to your story. It's fun and interesting and it may even help some of us Jedi seekers to achieve our goal.
Devs: Could you add some more space in the bio area so those of us who really like to roleplay and write can add more to our stories? Or maybe an artisan can make us a ledger that will extend our bio size? That way only the people who want to write more can without clogging up too much space.
Thanks!
How do we submit our screenshots to SOE for the player screenshot of the day?
Thanks
Ya, i took a mission from a journalist roght outside the cantenia in tyrena, corellia and i went out found the spot. Was told to go back, but when i did go back the npc didnt do anything but try to give me the same mission again.
I did a /big, but i dont know when it will be fixed.
Ctrl O opens the options screen and there's a button called "Chat". In that screen you can type a word or sentenance, select a color and click on the add word or add sentenance button to change your highlighting.

Setting a highlite to the word tame is great. So how do you do it??

If you are playing on the Corbugtis server and stuff stops responding...DO NOT RUN ACROSS A SERVER LINE!!!! cause if you do you will be at 0,0 when the server comes back up...
on the flip side...to save time and money traveling...
If you live at 0,0 and you notice stuff in game is starting to stop responding...burst run in one direction and when you cross the server line you will loose connection and when you get back on you will be at your house at 0,0 ![]()
Use ctrl+H (or in MMORPG keymap like mine it's just H) to hide or show the HUD.
Use ctrl+L (or L in MMORPG map) for the personal light.
Think that's it for me
. I'm kinda dry on tips...
You can set a waypoint to any coordinates you want using the following:
"/waypoint <number> <number>"
In addition...
"/waypoint" will create a waypoint at your current location.
/bow

Doesn't even take that, I was sitting in my house doing nothing, logged on at 0,0 this morning. 7K run, just so I could Re-register my vendors, that were only 5m away when I got cut off.
To move furniture around in your house, use the commands:
/move forward/back ##
/rotate left/right ## (degrees - 0-360)
If you've dropped two items on top of each other, you can use these commands to seperate them, so you can then pick them up (using /pickup works).
Also, forward/back is relative to the direction your avatar is facing, not the direction your camera is pointing (if in 3rd person view).
Easy one. If you don't have the cash on you... use
/tip 100 bank
To tip the targeted player 100 credits from your bank account. You'll be charged 5 cr for every 100 tipped.
or if in the city use /find terminal:bank

To search the Forum, type keywords for your topic into the Search Forum text box and click the search icon. (This text box is found near the bottom of most pages.) A page of search results will be displayed. Browse the search results in the same manner you would a message board.
To perform a more in-depth search, click the Advanced link found on the left side of most Forum pages. This search allows you to limit your query to a specific board, specific parts of the message (subject vs. body) and other advanced parameters.

This is good for a variety of purposes. I use it to highlight my name, which is often useful to draw my attention to someone calling me. For example, I'm often crafting or using the bazaar/vendor interface (or both!) So my screen's covered up with these windows, and I may not see all the people around me. I can see the chat window, but if there's a constant stream of irrelevant text there, I sort of tune it out. But by coloring my name, when someone says "Hi Bindi" or somesuch, it stands out and grabs my attention.
