the way it is now on TC, you have to hold down both mouse buttons just to move and turn. pretty stupid design actually

Let me just add this. The camera must be separate from movement. This type of double button movment will not work in the bunker. Maybe for the chef who wants to look in his inventory faster.

I recently just uninstalled a game that is currently in beta ( cant say which) because of this. Very unatural. I mean this goes back to the original Doom when you pressed Right mouse to move forward. You are going back in technology not forward.

I would like to invite a DEV or CSR to play with me for one hour in the bunker or geo cave at an intense, fast paced, need to move the camera quick, environment, you'll quickly change your tune. Your taking advice from the wrong people.

I would rather Buffs be nerfed then have to deal with this unatural style of play.

LISTEN TO VIDEO GAME ADDICTS ....NOT PART TIMERS OR PROGRAMMERS BECAUSE IT MAKES IT EASIER. Addicts like me are your bread and butter. If a customer cant deal with the complexities of the keyboard, then they probably cant dela with the complexity of the game and wont be around long. Or they have probably gone to their comortable EQ2.

Please leave it alone. My play style has been developed for 11 months. Next thing you know well be playing a FPS.

ok, i just verified on TC that you CAN change the interface back to the original SWG style, so at least that is some good news

1. holding both mouse buttons just to walk? this must be either a joke or I've missed something..

2. what happens when you double-click on a building's terminal - still"examin it"??? because it sure deserves to be examined...

3. whatever you change, please leave it as an option, instead of just flip the game upside down.

4. good job on cutting the shuttle time, but, hey, why don't you also turn the Ticket Collector into a Ticked Master, and get rid of the ticket terminals? why do we need tickets??? just to buy them, then carry them from the Terminal to the Collector and waste time in a pretty annoying way? I understand "role-playing", but... buy ticket - walk 10 meters -give ticket... ah... whatever.. has anyone found a way to skip that?

There was a greta way. "/bo trans" You could board from a ticket terminal. But they changed that for some wierd reason.

A big unknown by most tip.

From what I know, not alot of people know about this, but i have found this ever so helpfull after I discovered it on my own on accident. This tip will allow you to break past spatial, planetary, guild, and custom chat rooms. This tip will allow you to *drumroll*speak to your friendsacross servers, but not only speak to them but add them to your friends list and mail them and well send them a tell or a whisper here and thier.

All you have to do is type /tell server.friend message or to add that friend to your friend list or send them mail just insert server.friend

Enjoy ^^

What exactly was the problem with the alt key I loved it that way. Will there be a way to redefault the system back to tried and true system. Look thanks to alt I can hold a conversation and switch stuff up constantly. I have never had a problem with it. If anything I have found that other games that use straight keyboard action nonsense are actually more cumbersome and annoying.

I agree with this- I have been trying the beta for another MMORPG that uses a control system similar to the one they want us to move to, with the WASD keys for movement. Two things that always strike me everytime I load up that game is how much better the current interface is in SWG, and how quiet the other game is even in crowded areas.

I was annoyed when I created a toon on TC last week, and found it had defaulted to the new style, andhad to spend 10 min trying to turn it back.

The new control system SWG is moving to seems to discourage casual conversation amoungst gamers (judgeing by the experiance I have had with other MMORPG's compared with my experiances playing SWG), as well as making moving around more clumbersome.

If SOE goes ahead and introduces the new control system, they need to make is very clear how to change back to the old controls we are using now so people can decide how they want to pay this game.

As far as I am concerned, the current user interface is very good, and better than those used by competitor products. The only reason to change is to make it easier for players to switch between other MMORG's and SWG, but in making the change easier by copying the competitions control interfacethey are reducing some of the differences that make SWG better than other MMORPG's.

I came here as an EQ and EQ2 player and must admit the ALT key took a little getting used to but once I did I could not play SWG in the new TEST interface... The ALT key is great if only they could fix it so at times I didn't have to press it 5 or 6 times to switch.

As to thier EQ and EQ2 style interfaces they don't work like said games interfaces at all... Stick to the ALT key interface and make it work...
