All this sounds very unneccesary and maybe appealing to someone who has played EQ. All this will be for me is hours and days reconfiguring my keyboard (which I have customized). The amount of conflicts between JTL keyboard , especially the chat commands, and the ground game was bad enough, and still gives me gliches. Now I have to worry about conflicts with the ground game and what I allready have set, and also new conflicts with JTL. Why would you make a change like this? Was it necessary because of new patches? Am I the only one who has customized my keyboard, and dont want it to change? What is so hard about changing the ALT KEY yourself to where you want it? and why should I pay the price because someone doesnt know how the use the customize features in the options menu. Is there going to be a feature where I can leave it like it is, instead of adapting a new configuration. Maybe provide us with an option when we log in for the first time after patch where we can choose NOT to implement the new keyboard.

Your new "no Alt key" idea is a very bad one in my opinion.

There is a thread to discuss the changes in the In Testing or in Development forum.....

If you went there to post your concerns you would have been able to read that the new system is optional. So you don't have to change anything.

A big unknown by most tip.

From what I know, not alot of people know about this, but i have found this ever so helpfull after I discovered it on my own on accident. This tip will allow you to break past spatial, planetary, guild, and custom chat rooms. This tip will allow you to *drumroll*speak to your friendsacross servers, but not only speak to them but add them to your friends list and mail them and well send them a tell or a whisper here and thier.

All you have to do is type /tell server.friend message or to add that friend to your friend list or send them mail just insert server.friend

Enjoy ^^

This also works across SOE games too, allowing u to send a tell to a friend that went to EQ2 etc... just type in

/tell eq2.servername.playername message, u can also add them to friends list, altho they wont show in ffriends list but u will get notification of wen they come online and wen they logoff
