Thread: The Complete Guide To Death Watch Bunker By Wengel *MOVIES ADDED!*
Please, stop it and leave this thread to discussing HOW to succeed in there as opposed to how to change it in order to better enjoy it.
I mean that with all due respect to the people posting about that stuff, but this is such a great guide and we should honor that by staying on topic and helping anyone that may come here looking for help.
May the force be with you.

I took a stab at a re-write for post CU.... added new infor about some of the quest, and literally went through every post in this entire thread to capture all that looked valuable. Link in my signature, and here:

I love the Death Watch Bunker... I love the challenge and the puzzles within!
I've been many times and only recently (pre cu) have I managed to develop tactics that are good enough to get my group into a position to kill the first overlord and then enter the mines.
Yeah it is tough, but I wouldn't want it to be made easier. Learn how to play it, don't just throw the towel in and ask for it to be made easier because you're stuck.
My last but one run, I had a group of 6 people... and in the end took over another group who got stuck trying to get in (different faction too). Using my tactics we romped around the bunker... killed the overlord and damn nearly killed the second one. Three of the group were on their first trip and we only had 5 Jedi in total.

I am building a group of people who I know in game (and more importantly trust) into a DWB team, and we are getting there slowly but surely! The only difficult obstacle in the DWB is the Binary Liquid drop rates
Why do you believe (erreneously) that if someone calls for the DWB to be turned down a notch or two it is because he/she doesn't know how to play it, or is stuck? This is absolutely false. Over the last few months I have become a first-rate DWB guide... have led groups that killed both overlords and got part of the foreman's quest done, all in a single excursion. If I had enough people with lots of times in their hand, I could easily get someone through the foreman's quest in a single session.
The problem is that way too many of the players I have seen in the DWB get easily discouraged, or they lose interest, and are not willing to keep going back over and over and over as many times as it takes to reach whatever goal you have -- a loot item, foreman's quest, crafting an item, etc. Almost everything in the game is way easier than the DWB... so a lot of people just aren't willing to invest time, energy and resources to do it as often as possible. I could be down there every night if it was just up to me, but it isn't, a lot of players just give up after a few trips.
What part of the fact that the DWB is supposed to be the hardest in the game do you not understand?

I'm not really sure that your reading comprehension allows you to understand this, but I am aware and have always been aware that it's supposed to be the hardest challenge in the game... that is why I love it so much and why I spend so much time in there. Does that change the fact that I think it should be turned down a notch, and drop rates slightly increased? Not in the least. This is a group effort, surely you can understand that.

It's perfect as it is. There does NOT need to be tons of mando on each server. Not only would it diminish the meaning, it would make all the hard work of the teams pre-"turning up a notch" null.
No, it is not perfect as it is. Heck, most of SWG is pretty darn far from being "perfect". Now show me where I have ever said that there ought to be tons of Mando on each server. I want Mando to remain quite rare, no question about it. But with the current difficulty level and drop rates, it goes beyond rare to "practically non-existant". Turning down the notch a bit doesn't hurt anyone one bit, not any more than the current difficulty to achieve Jedi does to pre-pub 9 Jedi.
Not only that, the current status quo creates a very unfair situation where for every Mando component, a group of people must go thru great difficulty so that only ONE may benefit. The benefits of the DWB are *not* shared equally; for every Mando piece there is that only one person gets to wear, a dozen or more players may have made a significant contribution, in some cases getting nothing in return except perhaps a DWB badge. Either that or you end up with a Mandalorian armor that's just displayed at a guild hall... but if anybody's wearing it, then it means dozens of people helped who did not get a Mando item for their efforts.
The situation is quite unfair for the large majority of people who may want to give DWB a try or simply want to help others out.
