Wow I reallly like the Imperial assault armour, the rest of the Imperial is expected.
But the Rebel armour looks weird, but what can you expect when you never see any full body armour in the Films, just helmets. I don't like the Rebel Armour, but I expect it will grow on me. If rebels don't like it they don't have to wear it, and I can kill them easier.
The Rebel Battle Armour looks Japanese in Design
The Rebel Assault Armour looks like a robot
The Imperial Assault Armour looks medieval with the extra Plating on the Shoulder and the Helmet shape... and I like it.

LOL yea, if you look closely enough, you can see anything you want to see.

But you have to admit that the new Reb armor looks a heck of alot better than the ST armor.

Tell me, is this really appropriate for a rag-tag always on the move Rebellion Army armor with far less resources than the Empire?

Ok, I guess if they give the Shock Trooper Armor six pack abs you'd be happier?

No.

I just want SOME sembelence to Starwars in the game.

And not just on the Imp side.

THe imp armor is okay, but the rebel armor blows big time. I mean the rec armor looks so damn dumb, what wrong with having an armor type look like the uniform and helmet from the covette in first movie. I mean yeah it be light but at least it would be from the movies like some of the imp stuff. I cant get over how dumb the rebel armor looks.

I hate Gungans, I hate Ewoks and I hate Jawas....so why am I a Rebel you ask? It is my overriding hate of the MAN !!!

Pre CU Jedi and Day 2 Vet since the game didnt work on day one.

What was seen in the first movie was not armor, the helmets are more like safety gear. The imps had similar helmets. If you look at military flight deck crew they all wear helmets, is this armor NOO. Pilots wear helmets is that armor no its safety gear.

Rebel Recruiter. " Come Join The Rebel army."
Possible Recruit, " Nice what are you going to give me to help take down this tyranny."
Rebel Recruiter, "Oh you will be equiped with our most deadliest piece of equipment, the Empire stands no chance against all of us rebels wearing these high tech Bicycle helmets."

Yes, but they could have taken the basic look of that outfit, slapped a few armor plates on the chest, legs and arms, and presto: Instant Star Warsyrebel armor.

Besides, one could argue that the Corvette outfit is just as much armor as the current rebel Marine Armor. That's basically just a greenish jumpsuit with a few pieces of metal here and there...

They also could have taken the Imperial uniforms and slapped on armor plating, but you know what? That would just look dumb. The same goes for doing that for the Rebels.

(in my opinion)

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

That's not really the same, I would think. The imperial uniforms where just that: Uniforms.

However, the rebel outfits we see in the movies are more similar to actual fieldwear, the Corvette trooper outfit in particular. Slap some armor plating on that, and it would look like proper rebel armor.

On the imperial side the outfitswhich mostly resembles the the rebelones in this respect is the outfits worn by the imperial troopers aboard the Death Star (the "mushroom heads"). Slap some armor plating on that, and it would look like proper"Star Warsy" Imperial armor. Thing is though: That's not needed, since we all know that proper imperial armor is already quite avaliable. And for that matter, the new assault armor for the Imps actually looks like proper imperial armor.

Another point in this whole situation is this: Even today we have body armor that can be worn under clothing. With the tech level of the Star Wars universe, there's no reason why those ANH Rebel uniforms couldn't be concealing highly effectivearmor.

Stormtroopers could probably have a very effective form of protection that also looked like a simple fabric uniform, except for the fact that the Empire WANTS its troops to have an intimidating appearance... hence the "hard-shell" look.

Therefore, the devs could give us the ANH/ESB/ROTJ Rebel uniforms and set them up with armor prots. Rebels are wearing the armor UNDER the clothing, whereas the Empire wears it in full view for the intimidation factor.

Isn't anyone upset that composite armor isn't Star Warsy? Where have you all been for the last year and a half? Why not complain about it too?

They could have steel plating (or some other high tech material) surgically implanted under their skin too, but that's just silly. I think the idea of bullet proof vests under the Rebel Trooper uniforms is just as silly. Why should the armor look just like the 'flight deck' uniforms?

We've been complaining about Composite Armor too, but the problem is different. The problem isn't that it's not seen in Star Wars. The problem is that everyone is forced to wear it to remain effective. So what we end up is everyone wearing the same thing without any individuality.

The problem is somewhat different here. Since the problem isn't that such armor is being created. But that the creative design of it lacks a distinct Rebel flavor to it.
