Also i have supported the Pilot skill till now. I think that you shouldn't have the pilot skill and that your should just have a Joystick in hand and see who really is the best and not who is the power gamer and who isn't. It wouldn't be fair to casual gamers (such as my self).

I think that the skill of the pilot (me) and not "Pilot Skill" should be the determining factor. With a roll of the dice a TIE gets owned by an X-Wing. But in human hands (Imperial pilots were human, no offense to the wooks out there) a TIE would tearthat X-Wingup (XvT represent). Almost a repeat of my last post, but worth it.
I'd even settle for a "combat mode." Normal flight being in the third person, and in instances of combat shift to a cockpit box/hud.
However, since I heard somewhere that we'd have to buy our own ships it looks like players will relegated to light/medium class ships with X-Wings and TIEs as pets; combat being handled by roll of the dice (which is entirely unfair to anyone that ever played XvT/Alliance/RS) and no pilot skills, other than a level box labeled "Pilot Skill," taking the entire human component out of the equation.
Don't even try to satisfy me with special shots or weird abilities. No B-wing that I know of has a "/hullshot1."
If anyone reading these posts ever played "Allegiance" (by Microsoft), that's how a MM Space combat sim should run. I'll do whatever hare brained scheme the devs come up with to dock/land/transition from atmosphere to space, but please, please, PLEASE don't take the actual flying out of my hands.
So much for not having an edit button that will let you go back and edit after posting.
Correction to my previous post- Yezoo and to the rest of youwhat I meant to say wast that I hope we are not stuck w/ just a box as a cockpit, but there is space to move around in the ship. At least give us a view of the bridge.
With regard to the pilot profession the last we heard wast that it will be twitched based. If this is the case the question to to ask i guess would be to what degree? 80% 90%... I think it will not be pure twitch and piloting willbe factored in for certain aspect space flight, such asnavigation and reducingprep time for jump.
I cant really comment on the combat aspect and how skills will be applied. I not going to guess on this one.I just hope theyfactor very little on the skill sideinto space combat when it comes to maneuvering and shooting and leave up to the real person.

Disagree. It should be the character's skill. We don't use light guns when hunting or use CAD programs to build things, why should our character's flight capability be based on the player's ability to twitch a joystick?
If you want twitch play Rogue Squadron. This is an RPG, which means the charcters are the focal points.

I remember seeing a post where Devs say the Pilot Profession will have it's own set of skill pts to use. Meaning that you can keep all the current professions you have, and train to be a pilot. Regular Professions use skill pts where Pilots would use space skill pts or something like that.... My question is, will Jedi's have access to these space skill pts? Should they? Or will the Devs decide to stick with the rule that Jedi's cannottrain inany other non-jedi professions?
Jedi really should have a pilot option.
