Discovered this one recently:

When scanning for metal and minerals, resources listed under each sub category (e.g. steel, copper, iron, aluminum, amorphous gems, crystiline (sp?) gems etc are listed in the order they appeared, with the newest resources shown above the older ones. This might help you a little with selecting which resources to mineor help you decide if you want to put 1 day or 6 days worth of maint / power into a harvester

when browsing these forums, make sure to open all pages in new windows. that way you can have all of them "processing your request" at the same time, and eventually can read them. This way you don't have to wait for the list of threads to refresh all the time.

TIP: Delete your emails and do not allow them to build up. Failure to do so may result in your in game email being bugged beyond belief.

Mine has not worked properly for going on two months now and it seems as if little to nothing is being done about it.

For documentation of above problem:

Here's eight different threads that refer to the same problem I am
experiencing with not retaining email within the game.

This problem transcends just having email deleted - I do not receive ANY
email sent me while not online.

In the tech support forum, the standard response from TSR-Chad has been:

"While we understand your issue, we would request that you submit all in
game bug issues via the /bug command. Since your issue is not Technical in
nature, the Technical Support forums would not be the appropriate place to
have them addressed...."

While I understand that this problem is not a "tech support" issue - my
primary complaint, beyond the problem itself, is that there has been NO
OFFICIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT that this problem even exists. I have not been
able to find one thread related to this email problem where someone from
SOE (TSR, Developer, CSR, whatever) has stepped in and said "We know about
it and are trying to figure it out".

Absent such statement, I am left to conclude that this problem will NEVER
go away - hence my attempt to bring it to your attention.

If you have any further questions regarding how this problem occurred, do
not hesitate to contact me.

Consider switching your keymap to RPG (EQ Style).

In this style, rather than typing chat by default, you must hit enter to open the chat window, then type, then hit enter again.

The plus side of this is that it frees up your whole keyboard. You can hit "M" for your map rather than Ctrl-M. I have a macro mapped to "K" that has me go prone, fire a dizzy shot, then fire a posture down shot.... press K for kill! It also let me map my [ and ] keys to ToolBarPane0 and ToolBarPane1, so I can easily switch between my two most used toolbars.

This also frees up Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V for cut-and-paste and moves your function keys to "1" - "=".

It'll take some time to get everything remapped the way you want and get used to it, but it's well worth it to have a significantly more efficient keymap that lets you do anything you want with 1 button. It's like having 60 hotkeys on one page.

Does anyone know how to add an entire guild to the admin list of a structure?

I know I've seen this once before on these boards but I haven't been able to find it again.

Found recently:

Hit "cntl+shift+g" to bring up the in-game clock, zone information, coordinate information, etc. Good debugging too

Q, this isn't a very good tip. I went to examine this very issue, and the copy/paste commands work for the chat windows only (and I cannot copy/paste in e-mail messages). *Very* annoying. Especially given that I thought this basic feature would work and found it was not up to par.

Here's how to make up for this lack. You can use CTRL UP Arrow to cycle through the last items you've typed in chat. For e-mail, add yourself to the 'To' list and then forward the e-mail message on.

I think you put something like "Guild:XXX" where of course xxx is the guild intials. It doesnt work if the guild intials have spaces in them.

guild:<guild initials> (ex: Guild initials of IN gets admin add of "guild:in").

Cloudgatherer- I have no problem using my copy and paste commands in anything (email, macros, chat, anything). I use them all the time.
