Each week, I start a thread for you to share game tips with fellow players. Have a little known command you use all the time, a cool place to visit, a trick (non-exploit) to getting more out of the game? Share it here. To get things started:

There is a copy/paste text command in the Key Map listing. By default they are not assigned to to any keys, but you can easily change them if you are used to using those commands in word programs.

Check out last week's tips.

However, ctrl-v and ctrl-c are already defined. I like to use shift-ctrl-c and shift-ctrl-v for copying and pasting.

A tip to the people in chargeof these forums:

There's 350,000 of us subscribers, TOSS THE COMMODORE COMPUTER AND GET SOME DECENT HARDWARE. 25 minutes to get into the login page then 10 more to the dev tracker, these boards seriously bite.

Tip:

If you're a crafter or even an entertainer, have patience in your hunt for the Holocrons. Soon (right?) they'll begin dropping off of lesser enemies and become more readily available. Don't go out an get into a firefight you can't win! And don't bother standing in lines!

Patience!

Maybe this is obvious to some but I just found out about it recently, you can use specials on a lair. Makes it go a little quicker taking down those huge lairs.

When fighting with groups of NPC remember to target those which are charging in for melee attacks first, they're more likely to cause more damage and cause alot more trouble. Once they are dispatched remember to go take a longer posture to deal with those attacking from range.

For crafter's, try using your profession's components as unusual decorations. For Tailor, I have used Shoe Soles as footprints, and name them whatever you like. In my case, I have a path of feetprints leading from the front door, up my stairs, with each footprint named Walk in Dev Shoes. Apparently a Dev has been leaving footprints around my house . . .. And from the looks of it, they have two left feet (hee hee). Synth cloth, when stuck against the wall sticking out, next to the side of the cabinet, and named Quilted Southern, resembles a product you can at least use to blow your nose when you have to /sneeze . . .there's a few more, but You'll have to come to my shop listed in my Sig line (currently out of stock) to see!
