Publish 9 Jedi unlocker info please. We've been waiting long enough I think. Tell whoever is making whatever decisions that need to be made to quit sitting on their thumbs and hurry the hell up.

I have a tip/anti-tip for ya'll:

If you are a politician/mayor and are placing city decorations like streetlamps, fountains and statutes, you can combine them into a single spot, so thata streetlamp can be phased through your statue/fountain, for cool lighting effects on your statues/fountains.

When you drop your fountain/statue, simply stand in place, and drop your streetlamp there too.

There's a catch, though. Make sure this is what you want to do, becuase if it's wrong, you will never be able to pull them back up without CSR assistance, as it will not allow you to target them to "remove" them thereafter. You can click on them and the radial comes up, but it'll give you the "You can't see that object" error.

So, perhaps this is more a cautionary tip than anything else. Perhaps if this gets fixed somehow, I wouldn't need to bug the CSR's so much, but I found this out the hard way after I did it for looks, and then found I couldn't undo it.

It could be me, but i am sure you did this one already. I remember seeing the /mailsave command ina Tuesday tips a few months ago. Mainly becuase i have been using it since then. Plus i use this program call the Merchant's Friend. It uses it to figure up suppliers payments and stuff.

And now that i read the rest of the post, guess someone else remembered it also

If you're lazy likeme and don't want to enter the radio menu and exit the vechile, just drive into a door. It's what i do, it's quick, and takes you off your bike automatically. (Sorry if someone has already said that)

I was going to say.. I know I read this before.. we need a few new tips like Holding down the Ctrl and using the mousewheel over almost any window will inlarge or shrink either the Icons or text or map. I like to test things like that.

Thanks for the info TH

When you colorcode your name, just do your nickname. For me, I did Zwag, not Zwaggah because most people use zwag instead. If I had done Zwaggah, it wouldnt change the color when people said 'zwag'. hope that made sence

Speaking of color-coding...

If you have multiple structures on the same server under different characters, color code the waypoints for your structures so you know which character owns those lots.

To do this, just use \#[hex]WaypointName when you name your waypoint.

For example, I have my guild hall on one character, and my base on another character.

My guild hall waypoint is named \#54D7F3PvP-R and I know that teal is the color for Woohe.

My base waypoint is named \#912097Forward Outpost and I know that purple is the color for Stootee.

Now, you can share waypoints with all your characters and send them to others, and you will always know who owns those lots.

are the mails still saving with the unix time stamp and not the regular date/time format? I had done this before and found a webpage that has a unix timestamp converter, but was having problems correcting for some weird thing in it, essentially throwing my dates off by a few months. Anyone have help for this?

Each week, Q-3PO started a thread for you to share game tips with fellow players.Tuesday Tips will continue on.Have a little known command you use all the time, a cool place to visit, a trick (non-exploit) to getting more out of the game? Share it here. To get things started:

Manage your SWG Mail!

There is a “save mail” command that will save your in-game email to your hard drive. This is handy if you are a crafter with a lot of email or a player who runs a lot of events and has to manage a lot of email.

In-game, simply type:

/mailsave

After you enter the command, the computer will prompt you to wait for a moment while it saves the mail to your hard drive. When it is complete, it will give you a message in your chat window that notifies you what directory the mail has been saved to.Then, later on, you can access the mail by using the explorer to browse to the following sample directory:

.C:\Program Files\StarWarsGalaxies\profiles\\\mail_

Inside the last folder will be all of your mail saved as a *.mail file.

If you have never opened a *.mail file, your computer will ask you to find a program to open the file with after you double-click the file. You can use a text notepad to read the files.

Also note that in the same window, there will be a checkbox asking you if you ALWAYS want to open the mail files with a notepad or other type text program. If you choose, “yes”, you will be able to double-click on any mail in your mail directory to open it with your notepad. If you choose “no”, you will have to browse for the application to open the mail file each time you double click on the file.

Make sure to choose what works best for you.

last week's tips
