I found a really cool utility.

Just before the game starts, I clicked on Account, then Edit Account and Cancel.

I immediately found that all my frustrations with the game went away and that I no longer have to worry about all the bugs and nerfs in the game.

It seems that this feature is being utilised by more and more of my friends and PAmates but I suppose because its such a handy tool to use

Each week, Q-3PO started a thread for you to share game tips with fellow players.Tuesday Tips will continue on.Have a little known command you use all the time, a cool place to visit, a trick (non-exploit) to getting more out of the game? Share it here. To get things started:

Manage your SWG Mail!

There is a “save mail” command that will save your in-game email to your hard drive.This is handy if you are a crafter with a lot of email or a player who runs a lot of events and has to manage a lot of email.

In-game, simply type:

/mailsave

After you enter the command, the computer will prompt you to wait for a moment while it saves the mail to your hard drive.When it is complete, it will give you a message in your chat window that notifies you what directory the mail has been saved to.Then, later on, you can access the mail by using the explorer to browse to the following sample directory:

.C:\Program Files\StarWarsGalaxies\profiles\\\mail_

Inside the last folder will be all of your mail saved as a *.mail file.

If you have never opened a *.mail file, your computer will ask you to find a program to open the file with after you double-click the file.You can use a text notepad to read the files.

Also note that in the same window, there will be a checkbox asking you if you ALWAYS want to open the mail files with a notepad or other type text program.If you choose, “yes”, you will be able to double-click on any mail in your mail directory to open it with your notepad.If you choose “no”, you will have to browse for the application to open the mail file each time you double click on the file.

Make sure to choose what works best for you.

How do you mass delete your email without crashing?

Vendor spam has piled up on me to the point where it takes 10 seconds to delete one email.

Deleting more than 5 at a time locks up and crashes my game.

I have over 4000 emails stuck in my box I can't delete now, and another 200-400 added a day. It takes almost a full minute to even open my mailbox now, and I have no way to delete it anymore. I can't sort it either without making the delay to load my mail 5 minutes or more the next time I open it.

Help?

I'd like to just delete my vendor mail and keep my mail from other players.

Here's a tip to help you with the upcoming change with regards to recursive macros:

(this one is just an example, but it can apply to anything)

Make a Macro called COB-LOOP

Then add the following lines:

/center;

/pause 10; <-- this number may change depending on your level of skill. Experiment with it.

/center;

/pause 10;

/center;

/pause 10;

/center;

.

.

.(continue the above chain about 30 times)

.(then end it with the following lines

/center;

/echo \#FF0000Center of Being Macro will expire in 10 seconds!;

/pause 10;

/center;

/echo \#FF0000Center of Being Macro has ENDED. Please repeat.;

Enjoy!

Some more mail tips, to keep the general theme going. Yeah, you may know these already, but Joe Newbie doesn't.

1. You can email multiple folk by seperating the names in the address list with a semi-colon ";"

2. You can email your entire player city (if you are the Mayor) by addressing the email to "citizens"

3. You can email your entire guild (if you are set to have this permission by your guildleader) by addresssing the email to "guild"

4. You can attach a waypoint to the current message you are composing using the radial menu on the waypoint in the datapad. This option only appears if you have a message open

While it's not Outlook, the ingame email client is one of the coolest features that we all take for granted.

Oh wow, thanks for the mail tip! I do get a large amount of email especially with vendor traffic. So this will remove it from mail server and store locally?

You can save all your mail to read later with the /mailsave command. You can read the .mail files off-line by opening them with a text program like Notepad.

My tip is... this tip was posted in February! /grin Previous Tuesday Tips.

if u just want to jump off by using a macro, use the following

Macro name: swoop

/puke;

/pause 0.5;

/unmount;

/mount;

or something like that ... when u mounted on the swoop, u will unmount ...make sure u dunno target any

imperial npc ... else u have to pay 15k credits ... hehe. The puke updates ur position and prevents you from

beeing warped...

If u target your swoop while unmounted, u will mount it.

I am pretty sure it's not the first time posted, but i wanted to bring something up too :-)

The : character works too. As in:

: makes an emote

gives

HalasterTheBlack makes an emote.

(Note: the game will tack the period on the end of the statement for you if you forget it.)

why not just put your COB icon in the righthand top row slot ( the F12 equivalent ) and make this macro into the F11 slot:

/ui action toolbarSlot11
/pause 10
/ui action toolbarSlot10

Pretty much shorter and never ends When you want to end it, just type /dump

First week? What about those other weeks? He didn't botch itthose weeks.

And a tip for beginners (or anyone) is to getdelivery missions fromcities that are far fromeach other (they pay the most) and check the destination location of themissions to make sure they are going to a city on the other side of the map and get two going the same place. (look for similar payment amounts)

With the shuittle waits down to 5 mintues you can make several thousand credits pretty fast. (Plus sometimes the story behind the missions are kind of cool - I once deliverd parts for a prototype A-Wing )

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

I use a handy (and time saving) little macro that saves me having to click on corpses to loot or harvest them.

/loot;

/harvest;

Will automatically loot and/or harvest whatever you're targeting. Unless modified, the /harvest; command seems to default to harvesting hide (unless it's ameat-only critter)-you can change it to harvest whichever you need:

/loot;

/harvest hide;

/harvest bone;

/harvest meat;

I find it extremely handy when out killing a bunch of stuff.
