But in all seriousness...
I have noticed something that sctretches far past the message boards with people being scared of making money.
Take for instance: One of the best WS on our server, Bloodfin, use to have about 5-6 vendors, packed with top of the line weaponry. One vendor for sliced for speed, one for sliced for damage, etc.
I go to his house the other day to check on prices....and evey single item is gone. That's right. Instead of having 5-6 pages of items to scroll through there are now 3-4 packs, listed at 999,999,999 credits chock full of items. On one of them is a description that fully explains his refusal to sell any more weapons/armour/items until a full explanation is made as of how to advoid being banned for being the innocenent receiver of duped funds.
Great work devs.

I tipped my money to SOE-Collector and I was still banned. Innocent people can do nothing.

Sounds like another banning binge. Anyone remember when all the Smugglers were getting banned because a few found an exploit to get multiple slices? Some other Smugglers found the exploited on accident and didn't even know they did.
I guess I was safe because I refused to slice anything until it was cleared up.

And you know... it may be a good idea for me to take my items off my vendors until this credit dupe banning is done with...

I'm glad that they are ultra-hardcore about credit duping. I played on a shadowbane server that was completely destroyed by duping. So many people left it that they actually deleted the server.

While I object to the way they ban innocent recipients of funds, I have to say in this case it serves them right. Some people abuse vendors - they are meant for sales, not for storage! If you list something for 999999999 credits on a vendor you are making an offer to sell it (whether you like it or not) and because only a duper would have that kind of money, you are consciously choosing to sell it to any duper who accepts the offer of sale. Such people are giving the Devs very good justification for a ban, if you ask me.
SOE is making a big mistake banning every innocent who receives duped funds. In the real world, one must meet two criteria to be prosecuted for a crime: Culpability and Intent. One must knowingly and willingly engage in an activiy that they know to be a crime. The innocent people who are banned here do not meet these criteria - they have no way of knowing these funds are duped, and the act of making a sale or receiving a tip is not, in and of itself, any sort of offense.
If SOE is going to come down hard, they have a responsibility to eliminate these dupers and their duped funds before they reach innocent unknowing customers.

I got one question for ya. How isa crafter and namely Weaponsmith is supposed to store all their parts needed for making weapons?
Currently I keep the following on hand at any one time:
2000 Adv Blaster Power Handlers
1000 Adv Blaster Pistol Barrels
1000 Adv Blaster Rifle Barrels
1000 Adv Projectile Feed Mechs
1000 Adv Projectile Pistol Barrels
500Adv Projectile Rifle Barrels
1000 Adv Vibro Blade Units
1000 Control Units
1000 Adv Chemical Dispersion Units
So with just list your looking at 380 crates of just PARTS. This doesn't count any crates of weapons i keep built to ensure fast restocking. Which means i'm usually looking at around 500-550 crates total at any one time.
So please tell me how i'm supposed to store all of this if i'm not supposed to use a vendor. I'm curious to hear your suggestions. And I already have one house that has nothing in it but resources.
Until the Devs offer an alternative to using vendors for storage, I'm going to continue using a vendor to store my items.
