I logged on and had some recieved funds so i contacted the CSR Department in-game using the Holocron (Ctrl+H) i explained that i had recieved money from a person that i did not know and i don't want my account suspended from doing so, he instructued me to
/tip SOE-Collector amount
the amount that i believe is credit duped to the SOE Collector that way it canbe disposed of in the proper way i have screenshots of the chat between myself and the CSR to back this up which i will post later as they are on my other PC.
So all those people that are scared about being banned about recieving duped funds if you /tip SOE-Collector amount this will and should clear your flag if you have one.
Thanks to CSR-Patrick for clearing this issue up in-game
Thanks to Devs for suspending those involved in the duping.

One of the most prominent mayor/guild leader/businesspeople on Kettemoor got banned, in addition to at least half a dozen other innocent and respectable folks. The Developers don't seem to have taken any consideration of guild or innocence into these things. We had a guy tipping a million credits to people who passed by him in the starport in Coronet. Turns out he was duping.
"You have received 1000000 bank credits from RandomPerson"
Now what do you do? You're guilty too.
Report them? That's what Jergo did.
Contact a CSR? That's what Jergo did.
Tip the money back? That's what Jergo did.
AND JERGO GOT BANNED FOR IT. You could be next.

This works for those random tips.
Looted an exceptional NS lance the other day, like hell if it is going up for sale with this looming. This really sucks.

yeah it sucks indeed, it would be ok if ANYONE of the devs or a csr made a post about to how the investigation is going what they are doing to protect our gameplay or even make a list of all the people they have banned, something anything will do just to keep us informed.
Why can't they tell us the paying customer what to do if we recieved large amounts of bank tip

Instead they keep deleting the posts that talk about the innocent bannings.

I'm glad that they are ultra-hardcore about credit duping. I played on a shadowbane server that was completely destroyed by duping. So many people left it that they actually deleted the server.

I have no problem with going after the credit dupers. What I have a problem with is wrongfully banning the innocent people who received credits. There is at least one person I know of who even tipped the money back and filed a ticket. Did everything exactly as the devs asked, yet he was banned anway.

I too have a close personal friend ingame that was banned yesterday. He was talking to me about finishing up his last profs (Dancer/CH) and was finishing up Musician (2boxes away) in a cantina when I get an IM saying he got booted and when he logged back in he was banned. I know for a fact he would never dupe any creds and we are some of the richest players on our server. SOE is going a bit too far this time and I'm sure plenty of people will be cancelling accounts.

Ok I have a fewquestions.. before the scandal was made public.. I walked out into Coronet , right off the shuttle. I received the message so and so has tipped you 999,999 credits. I had no idea of the duping at this time.. I checked my accounts because I immediatly thought **edit**?? There was NO money there. So I went my merry way. I also heard others talking about that they too got the same message. Ok.so was this someone attempting this scam? Also, I am a dancer and an image designer..I work on tips..its the only way I make money. Do you think they are going to ban ALL the entertainers? Even if we didnt get any large amounts of money..if someone still tipped us just a little bit of duped money..are we in for it? I thought there wasnt a need for panic when the first announcement was made..but now..yeesh Im nervous. I logged inthis morning so far so good but still makes me nervous.
