A tip needed for all Architects/Interior Designers/owners of lit homes in preparation for publish 18.

Architects - stock up on candles, desk lamps, free standing lamps and table lamps (the lit ones).

When publish 18 is released almost every candle in the game will snuff out, all lightbulbs will suddenly break and the lot will need to be replaced.

If you have any of these lights look up your local architect to get your replacements, and remember they have a limited lifespan and will need replacing on a regular basis (depending on the skill/resources of your architect).

(Those who own Torches or Streetlamps - they are not affected)

Hey that is great news ... they finally fixed candle timers ... too bad they have not even acknowledged the merchant bug so forget about being about to doa search to find good resources, or for your customers to be able to easily see how many they are buying in a crate.

I'll be running torches tonight to reset everything.. NOT gonna replace a full PA Hall and all of my structures' lights every month.

TH, isnt it Ctrl + # to select group members ? Maybe I adjusted my settings somewhere along the line, but I think that Ctrl-1 targets self, and that 2-7 are your group members.

It is ctrl + # in the old default keymap, what is now called the Star Wars Galaxies keymap. I believe it is shift + # in the new default keymap but I could be mistaken.

Got a problem with the current healing bug? This is where /forceheal (not sure about any other heals) heals the most damaged person in your group instead of you . . . . . how annoying.
Replace your heal icon with this macro:

/forceheal self;

Then put the macro icon on your toolbar and voila, you'll be healing no one but yourself!

Word is this is fixed in Publish 18.

I believe Shift + # just shifts your hotkey toolbars. With Control + # for group member selction.

The new default "MMORPG Modeless" uses F1 through F8 as your group member target keys, F1 = yourself.

In space it defaults to Ctrl-2 through Ctrl-8 to select group members. Also keep in mind it's based on group, not zone. So even though you might only see two names in group, if the middle guy is somewhere else that second name you see in space would be Ctrl-3 not Ctrl-2.

boy, it's too bad "jedi" healers made Doctors and other healers obsolete. otherwise this would be really useful info.

My tips:

With the addition of cooldown timers to special attacks, you generally can attack more often by switching between two different specials rather than constantly doing a single attack.

Using Swordsman specials as an example, you can do Critical Strike -> Head Hit -> Critical Strike -> Head Hit faster than doing four Critical Strikes in a row, or four Head Hits in a row.

Mixing up the specials used can also help manage your action pool drain during long fights. Instead of the above cycle, you can do Head Hit -> Melee Strike -> Head Hit -> Melee strike. This is going to do less damage, but also uses up muchless of your action pool. Personally, I'd rather do a 300 damage melee strike (or even a 200 damage melee hit)than a 0 damage "Too Tired".

Another combo that is a bit of a compromise between the two above: do Critical Strike -> Head Hit -> Melee Strike -> Head Hit -> {repeat from Critical Strike}. By throwing the Melee strike into the combination, you are still doing a decent amount of damage (although less than pure Head Hit -> Critical Strike cycle) while slowing down your action drain.

Play around with all your attacks (ignoring state ones, since those are more special-purpose) to see which ones work well together. And don't discount the basic /meleehit or /rangeshot attacks, these improve in power along with your CL, and are very handy when your action bar has shrunk very low.

That's a good suggestion.

I like the ranged heals better. 30m is still much easier to get within range, over bacta shot and it's close range heals.
