I have now run the corvette approximately 30 times and was successful on every run except the assasination mission (took me about 6 tries and finally managed to beat it with a couple guildies helping me take down the mark) If you are only deal kinetic damage you will not have enough time to kill him.
I have a few observations. It seems that the neutral destroy mission does not drop the powerplant ever. possibly because it is the easiest of the 9 missions to complete.
The agro rules seem to have changed. It seems that the mobs do indeed give up agro after about 5 minutes which means that the next thing you see will agro you. This is a pain if you are trying to just run through the destroy mission. There is still enough time to do straight loot runs though.
I have noticed that since pub 10.. the door trick seems to only work about 1 in 3 times now instead of the previous 9 of 10 times.
Back to the agro item in my post I believe that this may be helpful with the rescue mission. I will try tomorrow and let you know but if my theory is correct and the mobs now drop agro after 10 minutes or 5 minutes instead of the previous 20 minutes or more. It would seem to me that you can now....
1) draw agro on starting level
2) unlock the elevator, get prison door code and run to the prisoners.
3) get into the far corner of the prisoner room and just peace out and wait for agro to stop (it seems like it should now)
4) talk to prisoners and try to work your way to escape pod.
I am guessing that the agro change was made intentionally to allow people to have a better chance at completing the rescue mission (although it does make it harder for the others)
just my thoughts if I am incorrect here please let me know.

I know that at least on the Imp rescue mission, you are usually followed into the Prisoner Room by a Rebel Commander (or Commodore, I'm not sure which, but it has something like 80k HAM). Your tactic might work if you go to the prisoner door, input the code, and then leave. Go somewhere that those MOBs will unaggro you, and then pick up some aggros and run back. It seems that a few of the Mobs actually patrol that corridor.

the neutral one does drop powerplants quite freqently. I do that one more often than the imperial one as the netural one doesn't drop berserker stuff, at least that i noticed, so if there is decent loot, it's usually a powerplant..but bantha dolls kick ass too
As for the door trick, i'm just unlucky, never got it to work for me, i usually end up getting some electricty and opening the door from the back. If i could get it to work, i could shave my time down to 5min instead of 6

Just finished the Imperial destroy mission for a 2nd time - no decent loot, but I did blow the engines and hop into the escape pop just as I got a system message that I had 54 minutes left to complete the mission.

I have soloed the neutral destroy missonaround 25 or so times and only on a couple did door trick not work for elevator unlock and only once was armoury door locked. As for power plant dropping I find my average to get one is about 1 in every 3 trys.
I find the mission almost too easy to do now to the point I no longer need doc buffs at all. In fact I try and not even heal myself in the 6 mins it takes to complete. I would try for the thrill to do without armour as well but I know no way that I survive that hehe.
Btw if even anyone claims they can solo place without armour/doc buffsand not die me be thinking they are fibbing big time.
I have shown a couple my way of doing corvette and what to do to avoid dieing but so far they have not suceeded without dieing a couple times during mission. I am beginning to think now wookiees get innate defense from the fact, well at least me, are fur stinks real bad cause no way to groom ourseleves ingame. P

Here's a new one for you - was doing the rebel destroy and set the fuel intake mistakenly to the lowest setting and still managed to complete the mission and get the schematic.
Anyone else had this?

I heard from someone that if you had 5000 Corsec faction pts. that the SBD wont attack you because they are Corsec themselves. Is that true or is that just a rumor?

It's a lie. I had 5000 CorSec faction, and the CorSec and SBD's still aggro'd me. Of course, after a few trips, I now have -5000 CorSec faction and get aggro'd at Coronet Starport all the time. (Not that the CorSecs are any threat. lol)

It doesn't seem to matter what faction you have on any Corvette. You'll be aggro'd regardless.

Anyone else been having this problem lately:
I'll get up the Corvette, and its very quiet. Then I realize, the SBD's and the rebels/Corsec aren't fighting each other. It'll sometimes take me a couple of minutes of running around to get them to start firing at each other. In the meantime, everything will aggro me. It makes getting through the Corvette a lot tougher.
I'm wondering if there is a solution to this. The first time it happened, the Rebs and SBD's didn't start fighting until I pulled out my LLC and shot back at a Reb. The second time, that didn't work. I got incapped, and then they started fighting.
