OK, a few questions.

What happens to the house and contents if it runs out of maintenance while packed up? Especially if you haven't loggedon for awhile. Will it auto-deduct funds from your bank account to keep the house, will it delete, grey out and be unusable until funds are added, something more bizarre? What happens if you run out of funds altogether (i.e. no money)?

Do items in the house count in your inventory or data pad? Does the house itself count as a portion of your data and how much of the 100 item datapad allowance is it?

Thanks,

Bryan1138

Everything should work as normal.

The house should deduct maintenance until you are out ofcredits. When you are out of credits, the structure is condemned until you pay the maintenance. The items in the house count towards the house inventory.

I'm guessing, but I would say that the house counts as 1 item on your datapad.

Just one thing to be sure to think about TH. If we pack up our house and are still using the lot space, lets be sure that we have a "reserve" on our old spot just in case we cant find a better place for our homes.

Would hate to pack it up and then find that there actually isnt any space in my town or in the place I want to relocate to.Then someone snags my old spotwhile im looking.

Once the house is picked up, it's picked up. You might scout outyour newspot before you pick up your house!

Thanks for answering our questions TH.

Here's hoping for a smooth rollout of this major bit of code.

heres a good question I havent seen asked...

is there going to be a timer per structure? because if there isnt some folks are going to start using this as the ultimate backpack, setting up two large houses etc. fillign them with all of their loot and dropping them in the wild whenever they need to get at some of it. there should be a week timer per structure or somesuch

I saw someone mention that it makes the possibilities endless. Unless of course you didn't like any of the player houses and took 2 months getting your PA Hall how liked it.

Without PA Halls and all the other things except for harvestors being included in this, it's mediocre.

Way to go again Team SOE.

Maybe if I piss and moan at FF3 I'll get some recognition.

You know, it actually seems that there is some method to this madness.

Someone suggested that disabled houses could revert directly into Data Pads.

This way, players whom haven't played for a long time could come back to their characters, and even though they don't have their house where it was, they still have a house to place that already has all of their items in it.

Think of the server space that this will clear up. Hopefully this would help out a lot with lag.

I think that this (if true) would be a good idea!

Nope. This was to facilitate the fact that after the CU, certain parts of the galaxy were much more dangerous than before. People needed an easier way to move to move their houses "as-is" and not have to redecorate. Plus its a neat feature

One quick question. Say if I was doc and put down a hospital then surrendered doc. Now I pack up the hospital and all it's stuff. Now I can't replace the hospital since I'm no longer doc. How do I get all my stuff out of the hospital now?

From what I read City Structures (Including Hopitals and Cantinas) along with Guild Halls can't not be packed-up anyways. Only houses, which means I can't move my Museum into my best friend's city.

Wow, I cant move my PA hall. This feature is POINTLESS. considering, moving and redecorating a small house is nothing, but redoing a PA hall is an abolute nightmare.

Thanks SOE for putting a feature into the game that 90% of people really won't be able to make worthwhile considering the majority of people that have taken the time to decorate a structure have done it to a PA HALL.

I'm glad about the feature, but I, too, live in my cantina. It's great. I want to be able to move my cantina to a nicer place, just like I could a house.

I hope that they someday allow that.

wow this is an awesome feature.... To bad it does work with guild halls. Ive been wanting to moving mine for a while and was actually looking forward to this feature but SOE sure proved me wrong doesn't work on the one type structure I need to move. Guess ill start moving my items out one by one like before.

It only works on player houses. No other buildings can be packed up at this time.

Gotta admit that it'd be nice though.

I agree. We've passed along the info in the hopes that this might be included in the future.
