You're also entitled to your opinion... even if it's wrong.
How is it ludicrous to provide a level playing field for all players? Everybody pays the same monthly fee, so everybody should have an equal opportunity to access dungeons and special areas/instances once they have the CL for it. To say otherwise is to be an elitist pig. Uber-eleet powergamers just want to hoard all for themselves and not share with anybody. You cannot compare an ONLINE GAME to RL stuff like education, the military, etc. Because it's a GAME!!! That's all it is, a game for which we all pay the same.
The DWB will remain a challenge even after being taken down a notch. Why? Because it will still require coordination, strategy, and more likely than not, persistance (especially when it comes to crafting). It is no different than many other dungeons in the game in that it's impossible with the wrong group yet can be a lot of fun if you have the right group. That's what it all comes down to. And making it more accessible is just fair to the player base. If you want to make it more challenging for yourself you can try going with a smaller group than you're used to, it's no biggie.
Now we're posting this crap on two threads? LOL!!!! My final post on the matter:
It will NOT be a challenge if lowered, and your socialist marxist perspective is simply ridiculous. What do you hope to accomplish by continueing to argue your case when 99% of the people who are even bothering to respond believe you to be certifiably insane (at best), or simply lacking in the fundamental basics required for intelligence? You will never convince me, and I am comfortable in saying you will never convice the other folks responding.... and if anything you are providing a venue for large numbers of people to voice their opinion that it should stay the same or even be made more difficult. If SOE bothers to read these posts (which I doubt) you will have argued our case for us quite nicely.
Do us all a favor - and yourself... shut up.
Yes, it will continue to be a challenge after being taken down a notch... and it's not socialist marxist, it's simple egalitarianism. The people who are bothering to respond are, for the most part, those who stand to benefit from the status quo. Not the players who don't think the DWB is even worth trying. So if you stand to make lots of dough, or just need an ego booster, or bragging rights to a suit of armor, then of course you're not going to want to share with others. Selfishness is a a very common human trait, unfortunately.
My question stands. And I believe I already mentioned how I am involved with a group who provides some of the components as well as the guide and crafting service at no charge - so I will exempt myself from your generalization about selfishness.
Your continueddesire to post on this can only mean one of two things: you enjoy arguing (which makes me feel sorry for your spouse / significant other), or you are too mentally challenged to see that you are, in fact, significantly contributing to the cause for keeping the DWB at its current level of difficulty.
My apologies for posting on the other thread... it is intended to be a guide, not a debate. I would ask that we agree to limit this debate to this thread so as not to further clutter that valuable guide with it.

Well, I have no way of verifying that you are indeed not acting out of selfishness, I can't really know whether or not you do, if you were a little kinder I would give you the benefit of the doubt but you are obviously pretty petty in your posts.
Having an opinion and standing by it does not make anyone mentally challenged, you are insulting people who are truly mentally challenged with your silly comparisons. We live in a country where it's ok to express your opinion, in case you didn't know, people aren't taken to psychiatric wards simply for voicing an opinion and defending it. If that were the case, then millions of people would immediately be carted off to the asylum.
People who advocate for the current status quo do so because of their own selfish wants/needs... if you are truly so much into getting others to enjoy the DWB, why would you even oppose it being taken down a notch?
FYI - we mopped the floor with dead mobs in the bunkner last night TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW.
It does not need a rebalance - keep the noobs/casuals out of there. The Elites are having too much fun.

Question: did you loot any components? Is anyone looting components or even anything usable? Our teams kill everything... we bulldoze through the place... and after another 2 hours in there last night we got ZERO loot. We did kill both Overlords and get Stabilizers, and looted one Datapad.... otherwise zilch. And - this has been the case every time post-CU... I have seen other posts saying PLC and Binary Liquid and jetpack components are dropping on other servers- but I have yet to see a single one on Tempest.
Ok, I have thought about it and I think the DWB should remain the same for the most part. Only thing they should change is part where you need a master DE/master artisan to craft the jetpack/mando helmet. Cause its so hard to find one of those and escorting them to the bottom is a real headache.
Come to Tempest - I'm yer man! Except I escort the rest of the team... LOL! Kidding, of course... but I do my share of damage!

Not bad.... but I really like mine at MDE/MA/Smuggler 4-0-4-4. Wearing recon armor over 8100 for energy, using feign death, and spamming states at close range with a pistol seems to do very nicely. Doesn't hurt to have a wide range of +25 mods on my armor and clothes, either!

My huge concern is about the loot though. I've been down there like 15 times this month, and i'm increasing this to 1/2 times a week...
... still no luck with loots. I haven't seen a Binary nor a PLC yet.
The difficulty is fine, my group can handle the DWB, we're experienced enough now. But what's the point to be able to get to the crafting rooms when you can't just craft anything because there's nothing droping off those damn Death Watch npc's ?
Ok, we can craft Jetpacks, fine. But it gets boring, i'd like to craft some Mandalo somedays...

Jut a little bump to say imho, the DWB is just fine as it is, difficulty lvl speaking.

I agree with you that the drop rates for Mando components should be increase, right now it's beyond ridiculous. I can't even begin to imagine the number of runs that it would take a player to put together enough components for a full suit of Mando, or even half a suit...
The difficulty level is a difficult thing. It's nice to have the DWB remain the toughest challenge in the game, one that requires an extremely skillful, dedicated and well-coordinated team.
However, in some servers the problems with cloakers who just burst in to grab loot from the bins and chests is getting pretty bad.
To sum up, I would say that, yes, the DWB needs some love. If the devs could perhaps find a way to make it instanced, it would go a long way to solving the problem with cloakers. And slightly increasing the drop rate for PLC and binary liquid could also make a lot of Mando fans very, very happy.

i personally think the dwb is perfect as is, cept for those cloakers goin down there, personally think u shouldnt be able to enter cloaked....
I don't think *anything* in SWG is perfect the way it is... that is the beauty of an MMORPG, it can be constantly improved, enhanced, revised and redesigned. It would be very boring if everything in the game would forever stay the way it is right now, it would be a game on formalyhide, static, unchanging, gathering virtual dust. No, let's revise and improve, and make sure the game experience is what the player base expects of it.
I love the DWB - spent 18 hours there over this weekend alone - but by no means do I think it is perfect, I think there will always be room for improvement.
