I just went through the Corvette on the Imperial Destroy mission. I found it easier than the Rescue mission if for no other reason than you can complete the mission even if you are in the middle of combat by accessing the terminals. So, for those of you looking to get the Corvette badge, you might want to consider the destroy mission instead of the Rescue mission.

Oh yeah, I managed to get through the entire thing in ten minutes including looting all four drops and forgetting a step. I also stuck around to kill several Rebels on my way out. Not a record, I know, but also not bad IMHO.

As for more aggro's, I'm not sure if they are allowing more, but I think some of the MOBs are giving up easier, which allows others to attack you in other parts of the Vette. It seemed to happen to me on this mission.

I forgot to mention in my last post--I'm having some incredible luck. The last time I was there, the one armoire I looted had an AV-21 powerplant. My next trip--I got two AV-21 powerplants, the Berserker schematic, and a Rykk blade. Not bad.

I'm going there tonight and had two questions:

1. if someone in your group dies, do they clone in the corvette and can continueor is that the end for them? If they can continue, can you take all the time you want?

2. I have gone to Lt. Sabel(sp?) in Bestine and Colonel Darkstone and both say I am busy with something else, and to finish that before I can get anything from them? I am not doing anything else, and have no other missions in my datapad. Is this a bug?

(also posted this in another Vette post.)

Usually if they say you are busy with something else, you might already have a vette mission taken just need to go to the person you talked to before and cancel it. Then you can take a new one.

Well I've tried the corvette must be about 8-9 times now and have yet to complete it. I have only been doing Rebel Destroy in an attempt to get that one completed. I know this thing off by heart now, but I cannot seem to complete this on my own.

Even though I'm walking about, I continuously get aggroed by the first few stormtroopers I meet. If I wait for the tef to go, that's 5 mins gone and I get aggroed on the upper floor anyway. It does seem that I have to walk past troopers when their back is turned. And not running does mean I don't get slain. But the amount of incap time I'm getting on these missions is making it a complete 'mare to finish it solo

I don't know what the secret is to not getting aggroedorpreventing aggro- that seems to my problem.

I've read through this thread so often now I don't know where I stand. I think the last thing for me is to get a profession that has ranged damage mitigation. Maybe pistoleer to go with my TKM & Smuggler.

Any thoughts? How do you guys get through the mission without aggro, on your own in 5 mins? Is it luck? How are you not getting aggroed? Are you running or walking all the way?

I don't think the walk-not-run trick works anymore. Lately when doing the imp missions, I've noticed that I'm declared when I arrive on the vette anyway. That's new isn't it??

I managed to do the neutral destroy, right before all the server went down (/crossfingers that they don't do a rollback, cause I looted a powerplant ...) in just over 10 minutes. The corsec also agroo on me no matter what i do.

Lately I don't care anymore. I did this run with siouxxie corvette special armor, 2500 doc buffs, full entertainer buffs, 1 brandy, 1 crispic, 1 synth and a 43% base psg. My psg had 1150/3300 condition left, my original synth was still active when i used the escape podand i didn't have to heal once!

But i didn't get agrood at all on the second floor (you know, the one with all the terminals),I guess cause I had too many agroos on the first floor.

Guess thathelps huh

Helped better than no help

So I take it you're just running through it then? To do it in 10 minutes sounds to me like you are. I have also noticed I'm declared rebel up there. I'm pretty sure that's a change.

And about the Jabba/Neutral missions - isn't the name Bruce McBrain a bit rubbish? He sounds like an Australian of Scottish descent. Not very Star Wars. Lt. Lance is pretty bad too...

Anyway, that's just my 2 pence. If anyone else has been having the trouble I have, and been able to get round it, then I'd be very interested to know about it. All I can do is train up other members of my guild to a state where they can assist me in completing the mission.

I've never really seen this asked or mentioned very much, but how much trouble is it to get the tickets? Those places, at least to me, don't seem solo'able.

You don't actually need to fight anything for most of them. The only exception would be the NS stronghold. I suggest you get positive NS faction so you don't get attacked by Nightsisters.

As far as avoiding aggros on the destroy missions, don't bother. Don't wait for them to go away either. I'd recommend a serious amount of buffs, the best composite you can buy, brandy and synth steak. Complete the mission objectives, and then worry about getting the loot and fighting things.

The walking trick doesn't work anymore.

I have found that bye the middle of the afternoon, most of the locations you need to go to get the documentation for your ticket have been pretty well cleaned out of enemies. Last night, I was able to walk into all three locations for the documenation for the Neutral Rescue mission without fighting anything. Even if there are enemies, most of them can be handled by veteran players with veteran gear by themselves or with a set of buffs.

I tried the Imp Rescue mission for the first time with some guildies a few days after Pub 10. It was the first time I did it, it was cake. I did notice a couple things. First of all, walking on the first floor DID NOT draw any agro's. I couldn't draw any agro's on the 2nd floor no matter how hard I tried (running around SBD's even), so I attacked one of the soldiers before hitting the elevator to go back down. Also, I noticed that the SBD's in the engine room STILL don't agro you if you have agro from the 2nd floor. Anyway, I just waited outside the prison door, got killed, used my Mark of the Hero (while a Reb NPC was standing right next to me, he didn't seem to care that I was alive again), and talked to the prisoners. I got incapped a few times on the way to the escape pod, but no worries, I got my badge, schematic, and looted a powerplant up there.

Here's what I do in preparation for the Corvette:

Get buffed (including entertainer buffs, at least secondaries)

Wear about 80% energy comp

Drink 2 brandy (+425's)

Eat 1 Synthsteak, 1 Ahrisa, 1 Canape

Meditate and Powerboost

Down a Muon after about 1 minute of running around

Have /healdamage self hotkeyed to use Stim C's when needed

I'm usually done with the Vette by the time my PB / Muon / Canape runs out.

Dont take this the wrong way. Honestly If you are not comfortable with your build to solo the ticket locations then you would be really wasting your time and equipment on the corvette. This is not a flame at all just a fact. Any one mob on the corvette is more difficult then ALL the mobs combined at the ticket waypoints. with the exception of maybe the nightsisters and for that you dont really have to fight any thing.

This is a stupid question, but it's been so long since I successfully completed the corvette....

Is it required to manually punch in the codes to the bridge elevator and the armory door or is it simply enough that they were downloaded from the appropriate terminals?
