my tip combine the root from 3 bhpistoleers using rifles at 60m+ to grief melee types so they have no chance to fight back. when root #1 disapates have person 2 land theirs. when that goes have #3 do his. by the time #3 is done the timer on #1 is reset and in this manner BH can grief the hell out of jedi and the jedi has no means of fighting back since cure states doesnt remove the root state.
good job on +root+ kinda defeats the purpose of the CU without the chance for people to be able to fight back
QFE.
Well Thunderheart?

The 40 second root in smuggler is insane. Give people the ability to either break free from a root using a special, foods/spice that resist/decrease the duration, or a timer on the player that makes them not able to be rooted for X period of time. Like the old KD timer.
the smuggler root isnt supposed to be a root, if you read the description its supposed to be a paralyze and its suppose to break on attack. Roots dont break on attack, paralyzes do. What you need to demand is that they fix the smuggler special to be the paralyze the description claims it to be. Also wanted to mention its 30sec not 40.

Kurt,
Any word about the +ROOT+ that are being exploited? Or is it working as intended that players can use them to keep others perma rooted? I was also reading that damage should break a root? Is this true?
Stopping Shot does not break when damage is done.
Although you shouldn't be able to "perma-root" someone one on one. There is a timer to prevent that, though there are combinations that can makerecovering from the rootdifficult.
Now in a multi-player PvP situation, it is entirely possible for four pistoleers to "chain-root" a single opponent in combat, but hopefully that person brought along friends ![]()

Umm, if 1 Melee guy is up against 3 Bounty Hunters/Pistoleers, they are gonna win withot root anyways.
If 1 character has 3 roots (not counting the broken smuggler root) then yea, they are gonna be able to stop you from moving, but they arent gonna be dishing out a ton of damage.

the jedi in my guild have no problem with this, they just use stasis whenever the attacker uses a rooting attack. So he might not be able to run, but the attacker cant move either.

They discussed this previously....ROOT does not break on damage...
Paralyze and Stasis Break upon damage.
Damage should break a paralysis not a root. You are allowed to attack while rooted and heal.

this is an interesting point TH.. shouldnt we make sure that there is a cap of just 3 bounties on a specific jedi at any given time then? A BH/jedi situation has the potential to be 5 on 1 right now, and I am definitely seeing that since all of us ranged people picked up MBH because the melee/ranged def mods and weapon speed mods were significantly higher than any other combination.

your wrong quickdraw then root and theres no timer at all. You do nothing more then promote griefing. Good Job on the CU it did nothing in terms of balance
That doesnt help young padawans against 3 vs 1 bounties
